    Looks like Smed talked out of place, all the devs including Julio said there won't be a server merge at the Summits

    imo, a server merge would be too much work for soe :D

    He said they "probably" need a server merge at some point. Didnt say they would for certain or when they would.

    Plus the devs say alot of things. Doesnt make anything true. You believe them when they said there wont be server merges? Did you believe them when they said the Starter Pack was not what we thought it was oh so long ago before the dark times of the NGE? How about when they said smuggling would be added right after JTL was settled? Or the best that Jedi would be rare? If you believed all that and still choose to believe anything they say then I got a bridge in San Francisco going cheap. For you just $500.

     I noticed that as well, but then looked closely at the words they used "login" numbers are good.. take note they didn't say subscription numbers, and they said they won't be merging any servers, of course a game like swg would have a great deal of issues with a merger so they would be far more likely to consolidate servers, or offer free server transfers like they did with the Japanese servers.

     I spent last weekend checking things out in game, and many servers are hurting very badly, Naritus at prime time on Sunday after 3 or 4 hours running the legacy and kicking around Theed I encountered 3 players and 2 of them were afk at the starport most of the time. Head to Tatt do /who get 22, buzz by Kashyyk do /who get 5. these numbers rated a medium listing lol /shrug.

     If they are trying to revive the game they still have a lot of work cut out for them. Chilastra is among the more populated servers, there are a few with decent populations, though not what they once were by a long shot.

    While I don't totally trust everything they say, as an active player I can't totally distrust them either.  If I didn't have some trust, I wouldn't be playing ;)  I don't trust your government though, so no San Francisco bridge for me

    That would be highly dependant on the contract between SOE and LEC would you not agree?

     

    Say, You wouldn’t happen to have a copy of the contract lying around would you?

    Pretty sure those are the things relating to the SW universe. Not the operational decisions on running the servers. You are off to bed so I WIN I WIN jk

    I read somewhere that they would love to do it, but with the houses and database issues and other things its just not possible at this point. Well it is but it isn't to their standard to what they would want out of a server merge.

    Don't be fooled... there's two parts to "character transfer upgrade" in the next two pushes according to the list.

    Didn't they also say Target Lock, Decayand Wounds are forever gone, and that the servers were chock full of people?

    Back to the original point. If the President of SOE thinks SWG needs a server merge, then the servers are pretty DEAD.
