I hear people say all the time that WoW has a fast leveling up process...well im level 32 and ive been playing since september...thats more than 6 months..i have other alts but no higher than level 12...and sometimes i take a break from it for a few weeks...but only like 2 times...so is it me?? my friend who was level 16 when i was level 10 is now level 56 and im 32....something must be wrong...im a level 32 human rogue...well part of the problem was that i was in Westfall for FAR TOO LONG almost 2 months >_< dont know why..i think it was because i did all these quests and just ran to westfall at level 11...and picked up on all these hard quests that killed me everytime i tried to do it...so that slowed me down..but is there anyway to level up faster..right now im grinding and farming to get better equipment...since most of my stuff was like 5 levels old >_<

It's all in your pace, my friend. It took me a while too, in fact, because you're taking your time, I guarantee you will have much more time and enjoyment out of WoW than your friend will.
Theres nothing wrong with you, you are just playing the game the way it was intended. Most people who accuse the game of being too easy are constantly checking thottbott to get the answers and locations to every quest. They spend very little time doing an instance unless its an item they just have to have because they want to get to the endgame as soon as possible. I'm actually not saying this is wrong, because I do it myself, but then i don't complain later about how the game was too easy to cheat through and cry because i didn't make a single friend along the way to now raid with that im 60.
Anyways, if your having fun, who cares how long it takes you, and if your not having fun, then try something different till you do. Also, you really don't have to worry about your equipment that much. As you level naturally you will generally find the stuff you need and stats aren't so important. You could wear something 30 lvls behind you and still be able to fight and accomplish the quests.
I can lvl a mage to 60 in less than 3 days played time.
Normal lvl 60, hmm less than a month.
