Just a quick warning to all the serious gamers out there - this game is completely ungrindable.
The type of people that intend to stay on this game have maybe 30 minutes per week of play time and with instance quests averaging 45 minutes, it gets obscenely hard to complete a quest. Despite that, I got to max level in 10 days (by party hopping constantly) and was bored out of my head repeating quests for diminishing xp which is all you can do til the mythical content updates flood in. Unfortunately this is guild wars with a monthly fee, you will run out of content on the 3rd day of every content update and never be happy.

This is a great game, for 3 weeks. Then you beat it. And the foil wrapped game becomes crow.
It might be "ungrindable", but it certainly turns into a grind quickly...what with everybody only wanting to do the SAME missions cause they have the best xp...it's just one big mission-xp-grind.
(And I honestly doubt it took you 3 days or less to get through all the GW content, of which there is a TON more than DDO...and GW had it at RELEASE!!)
Quite right. While I wasn't power-gaming my way through, I still found it irritating that everyone only wants to "grind" through, repeating the same bloody quests over and over again. Even casual players (10-20hrs/wk or less in my opinion) can reach max level within 6 weeks. Few people wanting to do normal quests + little overall content = boring grind. The only good thing I can think of is that the community is one of the better I have seen in an MMO.
As for the OP specifically, I can't say why you would have thought otherwise. The game is completely group-oriented (to a fault), so there isn't meant to be a way for you to solo-grind your way through it. Though I'm sure there are a lot of power-gamers who are unpleasantly surprised with this game. This game is one that has to be thoroughly researched before anyone buys the game to see if you fall into the tiny niche that are entertained sufficiently by this title...

Oh well !
Don't hold your breath. Turbine has said since beta that PvP is not in plan for the near future. They'll consider it, but it's not in plan. The only thing they have now is an arena, but it's not PvP based, it's you vs. NPC monsters.
