Top MMORPGs good for Europe

Hi,

I want to start playing an MMORPG - I was looking at DAOC but people seem to think there are problems playing in Europe: the servers being down a lot and patches being late etc.

Are there any European gamers out there who can tell me which of the top few games will be good for European servers / lag on US servers and good population when I log on (in the evenings / weekends GMT)

there are servers in Europe and if you want to try US servers there is a good news, I play from London on US server and have no lag at all.

And besides, like it or not, people do try to "win" massively multiplayer RPGs. The rules of engagement are something like this:
* If there is a status bar, make it grow bigger
* If there is a number, make it higher
* If it moves, either get a mission from it or kill it

Europe is always late, patches and updates are made for the us servers. But it is not really a big problem. You have to wait for 2 weeks.
