UO has a huge world. I heard once it would take 24 hours to walk from one end to the other but I never tried. WoW has a big world as well. EVE is in space and its is fucking massive. EVE is cool because some parts of space are monitored by police so you are safe, but others there are no police so its free reign PvP.

If youre talking about just Britannia (UO), then I dont know where you heard that but its certaintly not true. I would be willing to bet that if you didnt stop to fight monsters or anything on way, you could go from the Ice Dungeon to the southern tip of the mainland in under an hour on horse back, and maybe an hour and a half or two running.

EVE is certaintly a huge game, but... it all feels the same. Sure each system has a different color and some have cool space ruins and stuff but they still feel too samey.

Of the games that ive played, WoW is pretty cool for exploring, and I actually had a lot of fun in GW going through all the different enviroments.

Everquest/Everquest2 have pretty massivle worlds.  However, Everquest has lots of travel options available to ALL classes now, so it's faster to get around, but still TONS to explore.  Everquest 2 has some travel methods, but the world is still massive.

Final Fantasy XI is pretty large as well, and has a lot of different things for you to do as well.

World of Warcraft without a doubt.

every part of the world has another theme, be it a swamp, a volcano, a forest, a desert, a jungle and much more. its all there. its also amazing how much Blizzard added in terms of detail. you will reconize things from previous Warcraft games everywhere. statues, towns, characters, dungeons. World of Warcraft is very fun to explore, I think its a big part of its success.

Orcc, I was told that when I first played UO. But I never tested it out.

I hate to say it, but Star Wars Galaxies is quite vast, and has plenty of neat things not on the map.... But yeah, its got other problems.

Agreed SWG was an excellent place to just explore before the CU/R/B and the son of the CU/R/B (better known as the NGE). Maybe it still is just that the game is rubbish now!

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience"

I always thought SWG world was bland and boring.

I like WOW's World the best to explore but the gameplay is  very shallow for a mmorpg.

Settlers of Ganareth (Dark & Light). A world the size of New Hampshire and Vermont combined, and you can travel the skies? Yes please.
