Is Guild Wars Factions an expansion pack or a stand-alone game?

Guild Wars Factions is a stand-alone product. Those who own Guild Wars are not required to purchase Guild Wars Factions in order to continue playing on their game account, and those who purchase Guild Wars Factions may play without purchasing Guild Wars. However, there is a strong level of interconnection between the two games that makes having them both an exceptional experience.

Is there separate content in each game, Guild Wars and Guild Wars Factions?

Yes. It is possible for a player to enjoy the contents of either game without purchasing the other. Players who have both games may have their characters travel back and forth at will between the continents of Tyria and Cantha. And naturally, there will be content that spans the two games that will make having both campaigns very appealing.

Right from the Guild Wars webpage.

One of the main reasons why I don't play GW LVL freakin 20 c'mon what were the developers thinking atleast make it a lvl 50 cap like EQ

If it ain't broke, don't fix it...

I agree that the level cap should have been raised however it is very easy to see why this didn't happen if you actually played it. The game is primarily based on PvP, as such it was built so that you could build up classes and gain skills with multiple charectors while you work on your perfect build. Therefor they wanted to allow casual gamers to be able to play as well so they kept the level cap at 20, allowing more people to all be able to engage well enough in PvP.

BTW, EQ lvl cap havnt been 50 for a long time hehe. 60 then 65 and now 70. Though I quit playing it a little after Planes of Power.

GW shouldnt be a MMO becuz its so based on pvp....the lv cap at 20 is becuz they want players to be on a lvl playing field when pvping...kinda made this game seem like a FPS game with spells and stuff >.>

I don't consider it an MMO really either, but being based on PVP has nothing to do with being a MMO. The way it is all instanced and such with little random interaction outside of any arena is why I don't consider it an MMO. Good game though and at an expansion a year (assumption, but seems likely) for $50 that comes to $4 and change a month, I think I get my moneys worth out of it. Heck I on'y play it when maint is happening on other games or I don't want to read a game, still getting my money's worth.

First of all, the game isnt an MMORPG, its a CORPG competitive online RPG. Second the level cap doesnt need to be higher because the game isnt about grinding to the next level, its about playing your team build right.
