Unbelieveable lag

Does anyone else lag really badly during the tutorial.  I signed up for the 14 day trial and can barely play the lag is so bad.  Before you say its my computer, I have over 1 Gig of RAM and a brand new processor with a high-end video card. My cable connection is also great.  I have played Star Wars Galaxies and DAoC and both run smooth as silk on the highest settings.

I don't really get much lag, but I find that my ram fills up pretty quick.  I have 1 GB, AMD Athlon 64 3200+, ATI Radeon 9600 256MB.  So, not a beefy system.  The only time the lag is bad for me is in the Aracnos base missions (the ones with Wolf Spider mobs), and that's video lag.

ive gotta agree with you there. My pc performes horribly compared to alot of other games. I mean i get a crap frame rate and it doesnt even look that special. I reckon they havnt got adaptive degredation/LOD happening or something.

As soon as i drop the res down to 800x600 the frames sky rocket.

IMO its just a bad bug or something theyve overlooked.

Yeah i recommend lowing your screen resolution that might help. The only time i get any lagg is when im doing raids which is understandable cause there are some many players on at the same time. onother gig of ram would help. When I upgraded from a gig too 2 gigs it really helped and I only have a 128mb radeon 9800 pro which i plan on upgrading very soon.
