Well I think she has a right to her views. I think she has a right to express them, but to do so at a funeral is disgusting, to attack family members when they are so emotionally vulnerable is contrary to most Christian’s interpretation of Christianity, which is a religion of compassion, forgiveness and understanding.
Even if her views are “the right ones” (I am an atheist) she isn’t going to make friends and influence people like this, she must know this, so I think she wasn’t really trying to evangelise, just make a cheap shot at an easy target for some T.V. exposure.
Should the T.V. station have given her air time?
I agree she has the right to say it and have those views, but people like that make me completely and totally sick to my stomach.

This is why you cant even have a dialogue nevermind a disagreement with these people. This is where our country is going and its time people spoke out. Bet a bunch of people on this site are applauding and clapping for these people.
Notice the last part 80% of the church is the Phelps family, thats why we need diversity in schools. These people, adults and children probably never were in public or even private schools. Probably home schooled "using that term loosely" and thats what we have here, a bunch of brainwashed zealots.
They are not crazy, or whako's, or lunatics.. That would mean they have a mental illness of some kind, they dont have mental illness or rather not a natural one.
They are mentally crippled by how they were brought up and raised. What happend to them is something that never needed to happen, that is why exposure to the wider world and different cultures is so pivotal in having a healthy mental outlook on life.. Having 90% of everything you know coming from someones distorted version of scripture. unfortunently in its extreme form this is what it produces.
At lesser levels, well, it may not be as obvious, but the same handicapping effect is nonetheless still there.
You'd be surprised, but watching that I get more pissed at Hannity and Colmes than I do at the lady. She is a nutjob and what they should have done is let her say her piece, and let her insanity speak for itself. Instead they get her on the show just so they can take turns calling her a nutjob and a nut and a monster. You think they didn't know who they were getting on the show?
That woman thinks she is so righteous and next to god, but yet, she sits there saying who's Christian and who's not. Well excuse the f*** out of me, who gave her judgement rights? That woman needs a massive head evaluation or just needs to check herself into a mental hospital.

I think reading between the lines of "Thank God for 9/11 and dead soldiers" (ignoring the anti-Jew and gay statements) is that we shouldn't be sad about people dieing, she is saying they are with God now and there's no reason to be upset about death. She isn't really supporting terrorist or killing, I guess she think God acts through them.

That's what I also meant. Really I don't find it upsetting that she says that. I don't agree with her but she can say or believe whatever she wants. Maybe if she was more obnoxious about it on TV but she was way too calm, the other guys were more pushy than she was, at least on that clip. I think she represented well for her group.

I see signs that say “You’re Going to Hell”, “Thanks God for IED”, “Don’t Worship the Dead”, God’s (Cross hair on Uncle Sam) View, “Thank God for Dead Soldiers”, and did I mention they are protesters. You don’t protest in the funeral of a dead soldier and said you support the war. It is beyond logic why you think that they are for the war. I think everyone except you agree that they are protesting against the war and among other things.
How does Alexmoor saying he's against the war prove a point? Do you make vast assumptions and leaps of faith on everything you think of?
You're also trying to apply logic to an illogical situation and thats where your theory is wrong. There is no logic, she is clearly for the war because it puts into her reality of a vengefull wrathfull god punishing people who arent subscribing to her and her followers brand of theology. Arguing with you is pointless, you cant see your nose in front of your face.
As for the War, Im for the war, Its an absolute must at this point we win, so dont even try to label me antiwar.
