what does Q4 2006 mean

its the release date to Vangaurd but whens Q4

    Divide the year into 4 :

    • Jan - Mar
    • Apr - June
    • July - Sept
    • Oct - Dec

    Ergo Q4 2006 is some time between October and December

    In MMO development terms this means July 2007  if your lucky

    Of course if its the people who pay the bills then move the quarters 1 along so normal Q1 is Q4. However, this is so much better than the idiots who use seasons.

    Vanguard isnt the only game planned for release in Q4 2006.  They are gonna have some serious competition from Ragnarok Online 2 and Age of Conan.

    True, although Vanguard was supposed to be released in Q2, so it might be still on track for Q4

    Ill be happy if Vanguard is done by Xmas... as long as it is actually done and not just done enough to release.

    Question is what to do till then *sigh* Bound to be sick of Oblivion before that and I can only play so much BF2, even though its still loads of fun after 6 months.

    Technically people saying it means the 4th quarter (Oct-Nov-Dec) of 2006 are right. What a 4Q 2006 release date really means right now, however, is that it will either be released a bit before christmas or sometime in the first quarter of 2007. If you move to an expected release date a year or more out, say 4Q 2007, don't expect to see the game before 2Q 2008.
