I don't ever post on this SWG forum, its been over 2 years since i played the game but i still peak in here just to see how things are going.
For obvious reasons I've noticed an on-going backlash from the players, and I feel for everyone that got screwed over. But my question is why keep getting frustrated and coming back it? From what I can tell, they aren't going to change the game in anything meaningful way that would make most of you happy. Most everyone has probably said their peace by now, why not just let SOE bleed away subscribers until the game is collecting dust in a bargain-bin?

This begins the "get over it" topic for the week. similar to the one last week..
ah. must have missed that one. But really, just telling people to "get over it" is kind of lame and that isn't my intention.
A ton of gamers got screwed over in a big way and they have every right to be pissed about it. But its becoming more and more clear that the game won't ever be a satisfying experience for most people again, and rehashing the fiasco probably aggravates us more than SOE.

Fair question but I’m not one of the people you’ve targeted since I have no intention of going back to the game. I suspect my reason for lurking around the decaying corpses of old games may be for the same reason as many of the people you’re asking. There isn’t anything else out right now I’m interested in playing. I did try a bunch of them too.
If you don’t like that one, here’s another possibility. Some people take their gaming a little too seriously and can become genuinely upset over unfair game play. SOE is like the ultimate “kill stealer.” They stole the whole damn game so people are understandably pished off and irrational.

In my case I left SWG for EVEonline over a year ago, although my girlfriend kept playing until recently.
Why am I here b*tching about $OE and the evil lord $medley? Well you see CCP runs EVE so well that I have no complaints and they dealt with the one problem I had within 24 hours. So with nothing to complain about in my current MMO I thought I'd do some complaining here, after all I've paid for it! Also I'm waiting for an SWG (pre-cu) EMU to get up and running so I can inform everyone here if/when it happens. Also there are the weak minded who re-sub, they need us to save them and thier money!

Definately can't play an MMO on this network (damn firewalls and port blocks) so why not whine on the forums about Smed.
Its great fun, really.
