COV Noob

Hey all, im a total MMO NooB. Due to health issues i have alot more free time then i used to. Anyway, out of curiousity are there any "package" type deals with COV? Some of the other MMO's offer a discount if you buy months at a time. Maybe im just missing it on the site but cant find any info on this. Also, am i able to also play city of heroes since i signed up for a COV acct for the same monthly fee? I read somthing about COH users being able to upgrade and get a COV acct for the same price and wanted to know if it worked this way also.

    Hey there,

Out of the countless MMO's I've beta tested and played, every one of them have had package deals on fees, including CoH/CoV.

To answer your question, CoV and CoH are one account, you play both for one fee. CoV is an expansion to CoH, but they designed it so that if you have no interest in playing CoH and just wanted to pick up CoV you can do so. The bonus to having them both is extra customization, super group basses, and some extra zones.

So where do i find the info on their "packages" I searched their site pretty heavy. Not that im perfect or anything. But no luck on my end. Do you have link? or when you go to sign up for an actual "Non trial" acct do they give you the options there instead?

When you sign up for the game itself you get the options. You can also run one game and them get the other later and still have the options.

You would have to change your billing options in your master plaync account.  You would have to deactivate and reactivate to change that setting.

This should take you to their knowledge base answer with instructions.

They have time cards and discounts for purchasing 3-6-12 months at a time.

You don't have to get City of Heroes, but if you "upgrade" your City of Villains accounts, you get all of the heroic Arch Types, and all of the PvE areas of the hero side too for no extra fee (other than purchasing the game, which is pretty cheap, actually.)
