    You could do so much more for your PC.

    *Get 5.1 Dolby

    *A a few more gigs of RAM

    *Possibly get a super fast harddrive. 3000 RPM is pretty sweet [and dangerous...you have to ge tone custom made.::;^)::].

    *And finally the 750$ Athelon 64 bit processor.:::^D::

    Just get that Athelon 64. That is so powerful i am surprised it can stay cooled with just fans.

    kiamde i think u ment 30,000rpm..

    lol cuz im at 7200rpm, and if 3000 rpm is dangerous..then i dunno what mine is

    Take note that only high end PCs can use it to its full potiential. Definetly 512 RAM or more and a decent vid card but your All in Wonder would be fine, Rathma.

     

    My bad Murt, 30,000RPM. It may crack the CD though.image Thats almost twice as fast as your average CNC Lathe.image Funny thing is that 30,000s do exist.

    He had better show it off with Max Payne II or Half Life II, which use the same graphical engine. Either way, it will look gorgeous with that Radeon.

    but gb..once iget the soundcard, and i remove the drivers for the nforce 2...

    will the processor be back up to speed?

    I know it is dangerous and unstable. I'm just saying if Murt wants a high end machine he should buy power tools and make a harddrive out of a few rotor blades a few micro lathe motors.::;^):: But Murt, you really want that 5.1.:::^D::

    Logitech Z-680 500Watts @ THX Certified 5.1 - I have onboard 5.1 with my Soyo Dragon motherboard, but I think it will sound much better if I upgrade to a SB Audigy 2.

    Ya, I am loving my new system (well, new upgrades).  Now running:

    Intel P4 3.0Ghz with hyperthreading
    1GB PC3200 RAM
    Dual 160GB Serial ATA hard drives (running RAID1 for data protection)
    120GB IDE drive for extra un-protected file storage
    ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (wish I had Murts card!)
    On board 5.1, dual firewire, flash reader
    ViewSonic 20" LCD Flat Panel

    I built the system for pretty cheap, but I already had the case and LCD screen :)  NewEgg.com kicks butt!

    Hyperthreading seems cool to me.  My PC shows it has 2 CPUs in Task Manager...and you can watch each instance crunching seperately.  Pretty cool for a desktop system :)
