Just an FYI as there's likely to be some interested parties here. Apparently for the 30th anniversary they're looking at doing a theater release of the original movie in 3D.

They are doing all 3 origionals ( at least) in 3D last I heard, Rick McCalium said it at either Celebration 3, or after some awards show or something like that, I got it in a Homing Beacon awhile ago.
It might be fairly decent, but I really wish they would just stop it. The story has been told and they need to let the legend rest, if they dont stop Star Wars is going to turn into Star Trek; full of shitty spinoffs, horrible movie prequels and sequels, and bad acting. I love episodes 1-3 (well maybe not 2) but I really dont want to see anymore new movies, remakes, remasters, or anything of the nature. Nowadays nobody has any origionality, its all about remakes and shit, like King Kong, The Omen (which I saw a preview for at Sillent Hill), Exorsist series and on and on. Im just waiting for somebody to come along and remake Christmas Evil, or Frankenhooker.
