Errh they're a publisher, not a developer. The amount of games they publish really isn't that big. I do like that they take a chance and publish games with original ideas though

Severance is an outstanding game that, coincidentally, I dusted down and replayed recently. Hack 'n' Slash sports fans are definately in good hands. Me, I will make do with the FIFA World Cup
The main flaw I see with this design is the game itself, soccer.
Soccer is a great sport, but on a video game level, it will require some feat to make it appealing. I hope they don't think to put 1 player into the shoes of 1 soccer player only, if they do so, they already failed IMO.
There is a MMO on Baseball and there are like 100 levels to earn in it...but the flaw is baseball itself...it is so flawed that it is not even on this site (not a RPG will be argued, but Planetside and Second Life are not RPG and even have a forum).
That's been said, good work to the team, just work harder on the design, head my warning, soccer is great but cannot be applied on a 1 to 1 player basic, it will be to dull, not enough action to keep the player interested on the action level, so you should use a twist there or have a managing approach (managing a team can be great).
As long as they don't put you in the shoes of 1 player only, I think it may be successful, if they put you in the shoes of 1 player only, prove me wrong, I dare you.

They're not doing full-scale football so I think it'd be ok...
It'll be 3-on-3, so each person will be heavily involved and the emphasis seems to be on arcade-y, high-scoring games. But, 6 players is pretty small and the rules are probably going to be 'stripped bare'... ie. No offsides, no goalkeepers, no fouls... Basically, it's going to be 'Kung Fu Soccer with Attitude!'
It'll probably be a decent game because:
a) There's not much they can screw up. 3v3, no holds barred it naturally going to be mindless fun. b) Marketing. Seeing as how it's World Cup season, they're going to cash in big!
Personally, I just see it as another arcade game that happens to have internet connectivity. It looks nice but it's hardly a breakthrough or revolution in sports games.

Can i hazard a guess that you are American , because i find it hard to believe that someone who lives in one of the countries where soccer is the predominant sport (eg. a European nation) would state that a computerised version of soccer would not appeal to people.
I would just like to point out that a computer games based on soccer have been around since the 8bit days of the ealy 1980's.
Many of the top selling game franchises involve soccer , to name a few - ISS Pro Evolution , FIFA , Sensible Soccer , Kick Off etc.
Soccer as a computer game may not appeal to you , but let me assure you that the market for soccer games should not be ignored.

I quite like the sound of that as it goes.
No more explaining the offside rule!

Wow, this game certainly looks like a risk. If its done right (which i suspect it will be) then this could be a breakthrough for new sports MMO's.
Edit: I'll be watching this game
As a soccer fanatic, i will watch this title closely

Now if someone tries to do a proper 11v11 MMO...
It is a single player game that could be played online. Like most of sport games anyway.
What now you will start calling Counterstrike and Unreal Tournament - MMO's ?!?!?!
