Using Trial but have the CE of the game now ...

I have been playing the 14 day trial and loved it. A buddy gave me his Collectors edition set since he didnt like it. Will intalling this mess anything up and will i still be able to access the extras on the disk?

The software on the CD doesn't matter; you don't need to install anything.

There are two codes in the Collector's edition:
1) Game code.  Allows you to play CoV and includes 30 days of play.
2) Upgrade code.  Gives you some extra costume options.  Arachnos Helmet/Cape.

Ask your friend if he's already used the serial code, if he has, you won't be able to use it.
It sounds like he's played it already, so it's very likely that both serial codes have already been used.
If so, then you need to buy the full game (it's quite cheap now $20-30).

If/When you get a serial code, make sure you 'UPGRADE' your existing account.  Do not 'Add Game'!
This will allow you to keep your trial characters...


Another way, would be for your friend to simply give you his account.

Unfortunately no.
So if you want the same names on your friend's account, you'll have to delete your trial characters...

damn oo well....guess im just gonna go buy it. Get a 30day out of it to so that isnt a total loss.
