My opinion on MMORPG's

I started playing games quite a long time ago. I believe my first "ONLINE" game was delta force. From that game I was hooked on gaming online. I then moved onto counter-strike, which i played religiously for 5 years, or so.

Somwhere in the midst of playing counter-strike, I found Diablo 2. A game that i will never forget, nor do i want to forget. Diablo 2 gave me a sense of a true game. Items, from killing mobs, gold, and pvping. I found the pvp system in Diablo to be so much fun, It was pretty simple but everyone was basically in the same boat. It took "skills" to be good in diablo, aside from hacking, dont flame me for that comment. But it really did take skills to be good at pvp in diablo, you set the path, you attacked when you felt it was time to click attack, and it was fast paced. This was by far the best gaming experience I have ever had.

What ever happend to having fun in games? All i see now is people/little kids who are using mommy and dadd'ys computer to bitch about how much they dont have in a game...

Ive been away from games for about 6 months, The last game i played was world of warcraft. When i first started, I was overwhelmed that game was incredible. Blizzard created a masterpiece, and you CANNOT deny that. WOW is a great game. I quit right at the release of Battlegrounds, and haven't looked back. Ive been looking for the past 2 weeks or so, trying to get back into the mmo scene. And WOW seems like the only choice right now, for me atleast, I downladed several trial games, such as COV, and Anarchy Online, COV was cool but got boring after the first day. And AO had incredibly bad graphics, and the gameplay was horrible in my opinion. EVE imo is so boring. I think mining asteroids for 5 hours is depressingly boring. The Fighting in that game is kind of boring as well, they jus fly by and you let it auto them. Maybe i didnt' play long enough, but from what i did play/see the game has an amazing concept, and amazing graphics, but lacks in gameplay.

I'm looking for another game like WOW. If your not a 12 year old then youll understand i dont want another game with the same things as WOW, i want another game that intrigues me and has so much gameplay and so much to do. Its fun, the pvp is awsome, sneaking up on people with a rogue. Yes it has its ups and downs, but PVP in wow is by far the best ive ever had the pleasure of playing.

Basically im wondering if i shud re-subscribe and play WOW again, how is it now? When i left wow i was bored, I had 2 lvl 60's and all i did was PVP. Any games out there that may intrigue me? Or any games that are not released yet?

Buy Guild Wars. It's cheaper and was made by the Blizzard alumni behind Diablo 2.

Bought guild wars a while ago, didnt' like the idea of not being able to level like in a normal MMO.

    Guess im just to picky

If all you want to do is PvP, then WoW is definately not for you. PvP is Blizzard's red-headed step child and has not changed much in the last year, save for class balance issues (shifting the flavors of the month). Blizzard makes money off of raiders, and hence have a good deal of devotion towards adding higher end PvE content.

If you weren't in a raiding guild in the past, try to get recruited by one just starting Molten Core.

You CAN handle the truth...it's just really slippery.
