Are we as fans and ex-swg players winning the war against SOE/LA, we need some good news or something. Like smed being fired or new revamp or something. Anything to let us know that we are hurting there profits. grrr they have all the info, we are shitting here blind can someone do another packet sniffer on the game. It's been six months are they going to cave in, crack a little, even break a sweat.
What's the eta on our victory over the tryant.

I think we've won, just that Sony is keeping the game alive with funding for when it goes to the console market (PS3). When the PS3 is released and $WG sales don't move, then $OE will realise that it's gone tits up and drop the license.
They'll use the Star Wars name along side the PS3 to sell the console and it will work for a while. But after a bit 3-6 months PS3 sales will be going strong and $WG will become a liability to sales.

I expect PS3 users should pay the subscription fee, but I think $WG is more of a sacrificail lamb. They'll use it to promote the PS3, then kill it when it's served it's purpose.
As for Sony products, Sony = cheapest parts to sell their products at maximum profit. As for the price of the PS3, I don't know and don't care. My son has an Xbox and I might get him an Xbox 360 for christmass, if I can afford it

most assuredly yes, they will need to. Considering PS2 players already play XX for FFXI or EQOA, it is a given that will also have a monthly fee, console or not.
1000$ is a joke, yes. try 500$. Still high? aye, it is, but consider that buying a PC with the same graphics/CPU power would cost 3000$ ...

Either the game will become a liability OR it will make profit
If it becomes a liability, then they will stop it. Like any business would.
Until then, let them at least finish this version and stop f*cking them up with all the rollback / die / give us this, garbage.
Maybe if they ever completed a version of this game it might not be to bad. Sure its not the same as it was. But you all didn't like that one either....look back on history of this board.
SWG has been a constent "we want this" rant from the community from day one. You guys have no one to blame for all this but yourselves.

I have zero faith in those server load display's, too often servers such as Naritus are reading Medium when a login and a hunt for other players nets minimul results and any chat I manage to get into ofen results in being asked wich server looks most populated to reroll on, are there more logged in then usual right now? yup Publish 28 has people checking it out, few seem to be very impressed judging by the amount of just standing around I see (lets not even get into the boards rofl).
I can see between 20-30 players (some in the distance could be NPCs) in that shot. That's pretty impressive for the NGE I must admit, it used to be far more packed pre-cu but not a shoddy amount in that screenie.

I know you're having fun Obraik, just because I hate it doesn't mean everyone should. If you're having fun then that's the way it should be, I don't really hate SWG but hate what was done to it by $OE. I hate what it has become due to the ignorance and poor managment of $OE, a subject you have been known to agree with us on from time to time.
But I'm glad you can enjoy the game you like with others, as I'd hate it if I couldn't enjoy EVE through lack of subscribers. And if I didn't enjoy playing it I wouldn't subscribe, but find an MMO I did enjoy. As would you.
