Questions - Factions/Prophecies crossover

Hi All,

Been playing GW for a few months, and just bought Factions. I'm a little confused as to how exactly the two are linked?

I understand it as far as PvP goes, but I'm talking about PvE. I know I can travel from Tyria to Cantha with my PvE chars, and vice versa, but can I do cooperative missions? What about quests? The reason I ask is that I overheard someone the other day saying that the system wouldn't let them enter a mission in Tyria because they had an Assassin character.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks for the reply - yeah, so do I, but do you know for sure that they can take part in all the mission/quest content on Tyria? I'm not 100% sure.

I've only taken my assasin to Tyria a little bit, nothing too extensive yet. But as far as I can tell, yes you can do the original quests. I have not bothered to complete any yet, nor have I teamed up with anyone, but I've seen no indication that I wouldn't be able to. Right now I have the Galrath quest on my list of things to do.

Ok, I read up on it some, and from what I gather, Canthan characters can't do missions from Ascalon/Shiverpeaks. Their Prophecies content is mainly from LA and beyond. Similarly, I don't think Tyrian characters can do missions on the starter island in Cantha. Basically, just the beginner content is limited to foreign characters, and I'm not sure if that applies to everything, or just story missions.
