since we have another gw vs wow on guildwars forum , i came here to balence things up

so you guys still hate guildwars or we are more brothers now ?

I saw a thread about flaming GW some days ago in here. They even had a site, or more like a blog, there their official logo was the Guild Wars text with a cross over it. Pretty stupid thing to come up with, isn't it? Damn racists against GW... ;D

had them both, played them both and which game am i playing now... ye WoW, after playing them both WoW all the way for me, GW = yawn

Why "even things out"? That's a really terrible thing to do. It is also something very immature to do. "Your friend made fun of my friend, so I'm going to make fun of you!" is the basic message you're relaying here. I'm not looking to start a flame here, but damn, are you looking for a fight? I say you / I / anybody else just leaves this be.

There's nothing to be gained here, why continue?

What do you think this is, some WoW vs GW War or something? do you have some odd illusion every WoW player hates Guild Wars? grow up fanboi. you can love the rankings as much as you like. fact remains, 6 million current players vs 1 million boxes sold, I geuss we have the quality answer right there.

I don't think the thread starter really made this for starting another GW vs WoW war. he was just asking if there's peace between these two games now, and yes, as far is I know GW and WoW players didn't like eachother so much at the start. I remember all these threads in the WoW forums stating the game is far better than GW when GW first came out.

i still dont get why people who dont like certain games click on forums of games they dont like.

for instance. i like guild wars, so ill click on that forum and read it

i like wow so ill do the same...

im not fond of EQ2, or have no interest in it, so i wont click on it.

the reason i came here and made this thread , was becose for one year i had wow vs gw threads in gw forum , i have wasted so much energy on those , that i reached a point of nirvana , nothing can hurt me anymore.

i came here to see if the war was still on fire , doesnt look like it was before ... much diferent now

and also becose i know a thread with this topic will last forever .. its like a bomb ... its execly the same in gw forum , everytime someone makes a thread with the word " wow " on the topic , that thread last weeks.

WoW vs Guildwars is kinda like Chocolate vs Icecream.

most people want both, some people hate one or the other.

WoW is in many ways the spiritual successor of Everquest, and as such appeals to a certain crowd of people. Open world, gear progression and tiered highend raids being the dominant factors.

Guildwars is based on entirely different gameplay premises. No raiding, no mudflation, no gear imbalances in PvP, no Grind, everything instanced. Naturally a game like this leaves raiders out in the cold and will lead to a lot of "it sucks comments" from that camp.

That s just the nature of the beast

you ll have to decide for yourself wich game is better for YOU!.

but yeah, people of one game coming to the other forum to advertise their game and trying to get everyone to agree that "THIS" is the only way to play MMOs and you have to play it that way too is kinda getting ridicolous. especially with the "mindsets" of WoW and GW fans being so directly opposed to each other as is.

A lot of us know exactly what they prefer and why lol~

I have both games installed on this computer, started with Guild Wars, and was really into it, but after a few days break and seeing WoW for a reduced price in my local game store, i couldn't help but try it out.

Well since i've installed WoW i have hardly been on Guild Wars, it just seems a little boring to quest in your own instance. You can never bump into people, and if you do meet any people in the towns, they probably won't log in for the next few weeks.

Don't get me wrong, Guild Wars is fun and excellent PvP. But the fact it has no monthly fee means that players can fade out of the game without worrying about getting their 'bang for their buck'' so to speak.

there is a semi wow vs gw on gw forum atm , but im sure a WOW topic thread would gain posts , even with a empty body , lol

im a gw fan , but i would love to play wow too , i dont have more time for 2 games , so i play guildwars , no monthly fee , its perfect for me.

Someone who thinks its rather sad you talk about a "war" between WoW and guilds wars on a forum. I'm sorry, I fail to see what a mirrior has to do with this. but I have some advice for you tough, Why don't you stay at the guild wars section where you can "gather your troops" and "come up with a strategy" for the "next war between WoW and GW"
