This question has been asked dozen of times before, but I'm finally looking into a MMORPG and I wanted to get some hands on experience.  Here's what I'm looking at, but first I need to know if the game has "Game Cards" since I don't like creditcards nor want one...

Lineage II (Just signed up for the BETA)
Final Fantasy XI

I'm almost 100% sure that I'm going to get World of Warcraft, but in the meanwhile. . .  I want something else...

So what does everyone think about these games or others?

I know World of Warcraft, EverQuest [Any SOE game for that matter has "timecards"] and I believe there's a few others...

I've also heard you can buy a pre-paid creditcard at local stores...  That's pretty neat.

I do have my own credit cards to use but I always hate using them... but those visa gift cards seem to work and from what I've gathered so far, there is no personal information tied to the card so you can, if you so desire, provide what you feel like giving... I got one over the holidays and have used it several times since to play free 30 days trials (where cc is required) and dont have to worry if I like the game, cause several months are taken care of if I want to play! It was a great present.. get people to give you them and you're set or if you have some money but no credit card, go buy one

Sadly, most likely both of those games will require a credit card, though there is a chance that for Lineage2, they might let you do money orders and stuff, but there is a really good chance that there will be no game cards for Lineage2.

Anarchy Online has game cards, but CC's are just so much easier to work with, and i only use my CC for mmorpgs lol dont want to be in debt now

You could probably get a secured credit card...

Where you deposit $100 or $500 into a savings account that you cannot withdraw from.  Then the bank gives you a credit card worth that much.  If you don't pay, they can take the cash you deposited.  No risk for them, and allows someone with bad (or no) credit to build good credit.
