Based on what they have said and what I have picked up from older interviews I don't think the FE beta will be your typical beta. IE it will actually be testing  the content as much as the combat and network side of things. Think of it as starting at beta 3 or 4 of other games and working up to a more complete game than we are used to at release.

Yeah I know , I am sounding like a fanboi, but then again I have seen less from games already in beta (minus the public actually playing that is).

Don't worry about beta, what about the official forums?

They were slated for late 2005, around Christmas I believe, based on a few comments from the devs, to be followed by the beta in early 2006. At the moment we are rapidly approaching mid 2006, with nothing of either being released.

The latest news is that the official forums will be up at the same time as beta.

I predict the beta date to be announced in 4-5 months (after the faction newsletters are all done). But thats just me and my insanity...

Cthulhuvong, that's exactly what Cyprus said to me when we first got those, he said, " 6 monthly newsletters, I bet something big happens when those are done.  We've gotten 2, 3rd should be here soon, am I thinking august/september beta?
