im a MMORPG Virgin

in Star Wars Galaxies

I was wondering is SWG worth getting for a first time mmorpg gamer.  Im like a virgin in the gamer world my first was FFXI and it is great but i want to see whats out there.  So is the game a good game to get lol. some please answer me

    I've been around before MMORPGs and I even Alpha tested Ultima Online and a ton others...  So I've seen the best and the worse...

    For Star Wars Galaxies, it's either hit or miss... you can live your life as a dancer, or try and become a Jedi... the choice is up to you... a lot of these MMORPGs all try to offer something different then the next guy, but they all tend to be the same game with a different skin...

    So it's really just up to you and what YOU like... I can't tell people what to play because what I like might not be what your taste is...  so...  You're at the right site.

    ive played SWG and if i were new to MMORPGs at the time i first got it i woulda been pretty confused, once you get the hang of the game interface and controls its really a matter of how well your computer can run the game.

     Djin, very little is now mentioned about UO.

    I was wondering, when UO released:

     - How many races/species did it have?

     - How good or bad was its release? (As good as DAoc? or worse than AO?)

     - How many would you say were in Alpha and Beta for UO?

     - What made you quit playing UO? (or do you still play?)

     - Last question... would you consider Meridain 59, and The Realm to be MMORPGs?

    If you enjoyed FFXI, remember that FFXI is in a more Tolkien-themed, Knights, Swords 'n Sorcery setting. SWG is a Sci-Fi type MMORPG. SWG and AO are currently the 2 most successfull Sci-Fi themed MMORPGs.

     I recommend you check out Anarchy Online, as well as Star Wars Galaxies.

    you could be human.  weren't really classes, more like specializations.

    I thought launch went fairly well

     - How many would you say were in Alpha and Beta for UO?

    this i don't know :)

    as with probably everyone else...the big nerf of UO:R

    not djin :) but I was with UO at launch and played for 3 years.

    if your a virgin at mmorpgs, SWG is not a game to start out on.  Just like being virgins at other things you don't want to immediatley get screwed till it hurts.  stay away from SWG...stay very far away!
