everything went fine until the verifying, clicked on it and i get redirected to paypal ok nothing wrong with that, but then all of a sudden its asking me for a creditcard? why in earth would paypal ask me for a creditcard if allready added a bankaccount? now all my hope is lost to play second life.....mobile phone thing doesnt work either :( and as you can see in my name iam 18 but i dont got enough cash to get a creditcard...

so is there still hope? is there something i need to do at paypal? or do i really need a creditcard?

I have a credit card and used that to sign up to Second Life no problem, but a friend that signed up used Paypal. She has two Paypal accounts, one for home and another for business. The home account failed the verification but the business one worked fine. So I guess it depends whether a credit card is linked to your paypal account. Makes sense really, as the whole point to that is to verify your age. It's a pain in the neck because there are alot of people that dont have a credit card, but it looks like this is the only way they can do it. It doesnt cost anything to sign up for a credit card and its worthwhile doing so long as you have common sense with finances and pay it off immediately. I use Cahoot credit card which has a nifty Webcard facility which essentially issues one-off throw away credit cards which you cap - extremely powerful and secure and worth its weight in gold.
