Another SOE lie has come to light. There is no end to this.

Hey Vanguard fans...........there is still plenty of time to set up the game and port it out for PS3. Bwahahahahaha

uhh so your saying that since people are able tom play soe mmo's on the playstation3 that little kids will automatically gain access? i don't get it? seems like you guys are just nit picking now.

care to touch on the subject of AoC and Microsoft? odd i don't see any of you commenting on those threads heh

but by all means fill me in on how this is such a bad thing, because honestly i don't see it making any difference other than the fact that you can import your vanguard PC files to your ps3 and play on your console....am i wrong?

I dont understand where do you read that those titles will be on the PS3, im just reading that SOE has developed a new patching system for their pc games, the reuters journalist is compared it with Xbox live and mistook station access with the online playstation service.

It's obvious that the reuters journalist has never heard of station access or what SOE is.

While the playstation service may be conected somehow with that, there is no proof there.

If you think that is going to turn me away from vanguard...well you're very wrong. Someone tried this angle the other day in saying 'now Vanguard is on the Station Access Pass you will have the kiddies that play SWG trying Vanguard'.

I will give the same reply as I did the the previous argument. Just because the 3 year old kiddies, with the PS3, can play Vanguard it doesn't mean they will. Vanguard will appeal to a certain audience and that audience, even if they do happen to be 3 year olds or the 'SWG kiddies', could just as easily access Vanguard through the PC, or without a Station Access Pass. Vanguard can be bought seperately.

The 'doubters' arguments to get people to join them are being increaingly more inane with each passing day. To quote angerr and Gresteh, this is nit-picking taken to extremes.

i may be wrong, but i dont see any ps3 reference there other than sony is maker of the ps3...

SOE is part of Sony pictures a company that is not related to Sony playstation other than both being part of Sony.

Im reading here that SOE has developed a centralized login client, that can download patches in the background and probably will allow you to download and install other SOE games whiout having to buy the box or download the client via web.

SOE announced that they were going to present a new patching system during the E3 and we have a text that talks about a new patching system...

Almost certainly the journalist did not know that SOE was not part of Sony playstation division and mistook the announcement of the patching system as a new playstation 3 service.

Hell, enough people cant afford or don't want to fork out that much cash for a console.  I doubt it'll even make a dent in the community. ;)

Screw the console business, their craaaazy ;)

Well, SOE is atleast developing one title for the ps3 at the momment, an online action fantasy game.

I have no doubts that SOE is planning to port several of their online titles to the PS3 aswell, but then again, the PS3 is in serious risk of loosing a great deal of their market share after the price for the system was anounced, 599$ is alot of money and not many people can afford it, especialy with the Wii costing about 200$ and the xbox360 costing about 400$.

So SOE´s plans distributing their mmorpgs on the ps3 may change, as the console prolly wont have that large of a market share to justify it, at least in europe and the u.s, we all know the japonese will buy every single ps3 at launch eh.

Heh, I would venture to say there will be a whole lot more adults on ps3's than "kiddies". The console demographics have changed quite a bit since I was a kid anyway.

It's not like they cost $59.95 anymore and the games for $12.95 (Original Nintendo 8-bit)

Plunking down the change for the next-gen consoles is definitely a high-teen to adult thing now. You know the same people that play on pc's. In fact, if any of the gaming sites polls are to be believed; there are very few households that don't have both gaming platforms (PC's and Consoles). It's just the way things are now-a-days.

I guess people magically seem to forget that FFXI is a computer, PS2, and Xbox 360 game and it's not a "kiddie" game by any means.  It's actually pretty hardcore.

True, but there is a reason for that, the main market for FFXI is japan and the console culture is very different there.
