It has been said time and time again Shadowrun would make for one sweet MMO. So after tens of wait and anticipating a new Shadowrun game, finally one emerges, but wait... its a FPS. Well I guess a Ghost Recon set in the Shadowrun universe wouldn't be all that bad. What... NO... instead they not only turn our beloved Shadowrun into a Counterstrike clone with magic but much worse than that they decide to rewrite the whole universe. No Orks, no decking, no Seattle, Teleport!?!?, and no symbolise of the great IP. This gave deserves a new title, it has little to nothing to do with Shadowrun and fans of the pen & paper, SNES game and Genesis game deserve better.

I always thought it would be nice being able to play Shadowrun as an online game. The first time I came across it was for the Genesis system. It had a wonderfully written story, it took place in a dark and exciting universe and it was full of mystery and, dare I say it (?), it was very sexy.
It's now time for an online version, either console, computer or both. The theme is perfect. As a MMORPGs, Shadowrun would be right in it's element.
But to deviate from heart and soul of the game would be blasphemy. Give it another name and move on. If you call a game Shadowrun, then let it play like Shadowrun!
The way you play the game is the way you live your life.

Watch that without laughing your ass while they tell you how in inovative and cool the game is.Have any of these people seen a screen shot for UT 2007,Prey,etc?Pretty much the worst use of solid license to build on i have ever seen.Personally ive only played the snes and genesis games but what microsoft is makeing dosent look a dam thing like shadowrun out side the cutscenes and makers telling you why its called shadowrun.Maybe if theres a god the CFO over at MS games with sink this peice of crap before shadowrun becomes sanonymous witth being a half ass crappy FPS console game that will never be looked at again the day halo 3 Multi-player goes live.
and what the hell is up with dana hanas lips?
Only one week after its offical announcement/debut at E3 the Shadowrun community has begun to speak out against such a blatant butchery of the Shadowrun license. Gamespot Forums, Gamespy Preview, and at the offical game forums Shadowrun.
