Made my Decision....(and why)

JypsyJypsy Member Posts: 60

Well thanks everyone for helping me out get started and such, I have come to my final decision...

I bought the Limited Edition today :)

so once i milk the last few days of my trial, ill put my super special code in and continue on, hopefully for a long time.

For those of you who want to know why,

*The community. The community is fantastic, though with the recent free trial they released a few days after i got my buddy code, I have encountered more of the immature players that are expected from sometrhing free.
Beyond that everyone has been super helpful, and really great to simply chat with.
I have noticed a lack of players, but thats comparing it to WoW, EQ1/EQ2 or CoH, which are all established games, this will gain users quite quickly, and hopefully they are the same great quality users the majority of subscribers are now.

*The gameplay.
I cannot get enough of running through the desert, running over scavs and pikes, and causing general mayhem. The combat system is fast paced and top notch, and easy to pick up and play.

* The graphics.
The graphics are excellent, but get a bit bland as you travel the same stretch of land over and over. I assume in the later levels, there is more diversity.

I really am having fun, and hope to have many more months of fun with my Mutant guild on Apocalypse.

This game is far from perfect, but a great departure from fantasy or space MMOs, and the customization you can do to your vehicle throughout the game is a huge asset.

The game has its share of problems, such as some rare drops being TOO rare, and you can pretty much not read a single mission and be fine by following waypoints.

Anyways, thanks again to Danjak and everyone, and ill be aroundhere on the boards to help out new players as I was helped :)

    Welcome to the Game!

I too bought the limited edition (out of spite), was going to tell everyone not to waste their time with this one  I was wrong BIG TIME!

Now I am a casual player and loving my time in AA.

I just got to level 24 and all I can tell you is that which level higher I get, the game got better for me and very INTERESTING. I cant see someone crucifying this game unless they hit that Magic Level 80?

At Level 24, I am having a hell of a time!

I've just started AA also, played through some stages of beta and found the game interesting then. I can definately see why this game recieves good praise/reviews, it is alot of fun, simple. And yeah, the loot system is brilliant, and so is the vehicle customisation. I really like the music too, and the graphics look really nice and crisp, especially the water. :) Can't wait to see where AA goes from here, such as future content, updates and expansions.

Welcome to the Mayhem!!   My story almost the same, execpt I purchased the standard edition.  The 14 day trial hooked me after the first hour played.

I agree with you Jypsy.  I am glad you like the game.  Too bad we play on different servers, I would have liked to meet you in-game.  I am also really enjoying AA and I like the community.  I am glad I tried it.  At first I was skeptical, but this game is a blast to play.

What guild Jypsy?  I have a couple of friends on Apocalypse playing Mutant, and we are still shopping around for a guild to call home.

The clan is named Bloodmoon, and our leader is Davon.

Really a friendly bunch, and we have a good amount of players as well!

feel free to add Jypsy or Vriess (my most played characters) to your friends list and get in touch!

Oh don't worry about that, I am having a great time, though sometimes it gets slow. Thats what i am getting into the harvesting and crafting end of the game for!

Thank you Jypsy.  I will definitely look you guys up next time I am on.  My main character's name is Humungus just so you know who is contacting you.  See you on the highway!

Good luck to you, I hope you have fun.  For me, however, my first month included with the game is nearly up, and I doubt I'll be continuing  my subscription for service.  I just find I'm increasingly bored.  After I've blown up my 1000th building or run down my 5000th Pike, I ask myself, "so that's it?".  The unfortunately answer is yes, that is indeed it.
