I would have to say that Vanguard will rake in around 400 to 500k right off of the bat and with SoE's help on the marketing side of everything, if all goes well, I would project it to nail 500k+. They are off to a slow start with marketing the game (I’d have to blame MS on that one), but things are already taking shape with SoE on board.
Vanguard is going to offer players a great MMO experience, attracting all kinds of different player types. Regardless of if you like SoE or not, Vanguard will be a game to keep an eye on. The guys at Sigil are great at what they do, and they're passionate beyond imagination.

with all the new games coming out? which have a tremendous amount of hype within the casual and non-posting circles of gamers?
im guessing closer to the 75k to 150k mark
dont forget the vanguard fan base, is a closed niche of gamers who have left eq and werent satisfied with anything released since ....
SOE might not be promoting this game to the extent many of you feel they might ... they are only going to be making money off subscriptions right? if this is true then it probably wouldnt warrant SOE spending hundreds of millions to mass advertise the game ...if soe does spend this money ... then thats a clear indication that they in fact do have a larger part of the property which is vanguard than what sigil is letting on

I find it hilarious that a site that advertises gold seling services(and is owned by the most nefarious of the gold seling companies, IGE) would take a stand like this. Especialy considering the services you advertise are illegal if you bothered to read any of the EULA´s of the games involved.

And that would negate your contract you entered into for the Beta... how? Hmm, thought so.
Sigil can do as they like and remove my beta slot, but when some admin from a website makes a threat that he will "sell me out" to sigil if i dont respect their nda, then i find it ironic, especialy when sigil has denounced IGE time and again and have called gold sellers and IGE in particular "bottom scum feeders that dont deserve to see the light of day".
And if you dont know, mmorpg.com was bought by IGE, along with stratics.com, Thottbot.com and allakhazam.com, thats the sole basis for my comment, the irony of a website, owned by a company sigil hates, was going to report me to sigil

the NDA is there as to not alert people of how bad a state the game is in ... everyone who has beta tested this game and has posted in a gaming forum .. has said the curent state of the beta is horrible
sigil needs time to clean up the game before they overlook people talking about beta .. im sure if beta testers were screaming in delight over the game .. MMORPG, and sigil wouldnt have a problem with anyone speaking of it ...
but i dont think MMORPG did this out of their own concern .. i have had a feeling now that someone from sigil has been watching these boards ever since vanguard feel from the #1 slot in upcoming games to like what #42?... thats quite a drop
