I just read the article for SWG at E3 (
link). And I must say... I must concede that this qualifies as "adding content" which is good and all, and I am happy for the current players that they are getting this. To me it's not enough to win me back, but to each it's own...
But the real reason I started this thread is, how are the lag issues these days in SWG? As far as I know SWG has always had stability issues, but has it gotten better? An event like this would bring a lot of players to the same spot, in the days of old this would often cause the servers to crash. Is SWG ready for this now?

Classic SWG > CUNGE
We've had some recent large scale events on Chilly. 1000's of NPCs and over 100 players all in one spot and the server didn't die. I had to turn all my graphics settings right down though to have a decent frame rate. I'm beginning to think some of these large events were testing for this event they're doing
However, Theed seems to be pretty bad for lag. The weekend before we had some large scale battles going on there and it resulted in Theed crashing and the server going into a "Loading" status. Didn't affect anyone off Naboo though.
