Farmers in Ascension Quest

TigerchaTigercha Member Posts: 182

Has anyone else noticed these Monk/Warrior Farmer Macro groups, I brought one characters over too GuildWars I into one of the ascention Missions and noticed about 30 Monk/Warriors that seem to enter the mission, then goto the bank then, goto a spot and all stand ontop of one another, then enter the mission.

I dont understand how these guys have not had there account banned they are obviously scriting/macro'ing/ or using a mouse cursor macro to do this.

Another thing I dont understand where a game like GuildWars the PvP is 95% skill and team cohesion and 5% gear why the need to buy the best gear as there is only a few % between the best and second best, I understand the need for WoW players to cheat and buy gold, as there PvP is 50/50, if you have the gold you can buy Pots and Blues before most others can for early 10 - 19 and 20 -29 WSG and it will make a difference if you really care that much

But why for GuildWars?

    people are just dumb

now people are crying becose they cant get the elite items in the elite missions

witch is ridiculus , becose guildwars is about skills and teamwork not weapons

those are just a bonus for the alliences that have more faction , doesnt mean they will win the WGWC with those items

It's "bling" value. There's a lot of players that treat Guild Wars like a standard MMO, so they buy gold through e-bay, they find ways to cheat and exploit the systems, and then they cry when they reach level 20 and the game is over (for them). These are also the people that can't think outside of their little box and will complain the loudest about other players that are doing something strange with a character. Like, my Sword Ranger. You woulnd't believe how upset some players get at just the THOUGHT of a Ranger that doesn't use a bow.

I say, let them be. They wanna be 'tards, and nothing anyone does is going to fix that.

Also, A.Net knows about the bot farmers in Elona Reach, and they have made statements about that and their plans of fixing that problem. Personally, I don't care if they stay there, it makes them easier to track and the drops are terrible there after 3 runs.

Its so strange you mentioned that the R/W with a Sword I created my Charater Waylander as in the book, and I wanted him to have a sword, and so I played him right through as a Sword Ranger, he is really a trapper but he uses a sword, and most people could not get over the sword bit, although a lot of characters only have a weapon for its bonuses, and in my case I needed the arnour of the sword and shield as a trapper so I would die less often.

These lots of Monk/Warriors you can see at Elona Reach mission are farming bots working for gold selling companies. Check internarional district 1 if you want to see even more of them

This mission is the most simple farming area, easiest to automate. Thats why its such a great place for bots to run for long hours. As there are many much more profitable areas in the game, not many real players farm here nowadays.

This is a little off topic, but Tigercha, have you ever concidered using Whirling Defense and Oath Shot for your trapper build? Or, have you tried the Warrior elite shout "Victory is Mine!" ? Both work extremely well with most trapper builds.

Lol, I did the Underworld farmming and learned the merits of Whirling defence there, victory is mine is not a skill I have really used TBH the problem is that most of the time when I hit high end bits I usually drop my Warrior secondary and take up Mesmer for the Mantra of concentration bit, I think the build is fairly standard for Trappers, they have in my experiance usually been R/Me using tigers fury, 3 traps, quickning zephr, whirling defence, troll and Mantra of concentration, oath shot has its issues and can give you the "O my fecking god how did I miss, dodged my arse, dodge this you wanka, that fecking  Arrrgggggg AHHH GOD SAKES....." sort of problem, but is certainly one of the better elites, but I do like the elite poison prep too.

lol, an ettin did that to me once when I was playing around with Oath Shot. Made me so mad, but it was hilarious in retrospect.

Actually, using a ViM trapper build is one of the tough 4v4 team builds, which is why I brought it up. If your target is burning, poisoned, bleeding, and blind, Victory is Mine! suddenly gives a huge ammount of energy and health regen. I played around with it a bit in PvE, and it does work a bit with the right group. Unless you don't want to stick around when the traps go bang.

id like to add some info on this

i had the oportunity to do a elite quest , becose someone from the allience that was holding the town , was shiping people to the elite town , non stop

made me see , that this is what the allience holding towns should do , for this reasons

good reputation , everyone know they are really cool people

    improve all players skill

next time when its another allience holding , they will do the same for them ...

    better for all

i eard some alliences were asking for money to get in elite mission , this will end in

bad reputation , ruins the cumunity spirit
