Imo anyone you pays SOE money to play their games is an idiot. It has nothing to do with the game anymore. Its all about having respect for yourself and your fellow gamers. Again im glad people can enjoy the game, i wish i could do what you guys can do. But to me its more important to stand up for my rights and not pay for halfass products.

I went with no.2 as ppl have different views on what is fun.
I myself would not re-sub to this game ever as long as the NGE is loaded on the servers. The game is dull and oversimplified. It lacks any immersion and gameplay is down right trash. On top of that SOE are one of the most unethical businesses I’ve witnessed and are targeting an underage market
Those who like the game, good on you! I’m actually jealous. Play SWG and rejoice that you have a Star Wars online game you find fun. To me a game needs to be challenging and have some depth to be enjoyable. The change from classic to NGE is like switching from a game of chess (although buggy as hell) to a game of Go fish!
Those who are the idiots are the ones still subscribing and bitching on the official board that they want pre-CU back. They are PAYING to support this garbage NGE.
The game is in regression and not evolving. Just look at what the game holds now compared to the classic system (and I mean that EVEN if you remove Wook World and Lagstafar)

Where did I assume all anti-SOE people are idiots? I said most of the unintelligent posts here (ie. the l33t stuff) are done by those that are anti-SOE. That's not the same thing

I don't think they are idiots, they just don't think the issues that we have with the company are of nearly as much concern to them as they are to us. I have considered playing EQ2 myself, but I have resisted because I am personally very let down with the management of SWG, but in no way do I consider people who are playing SOE's games idiots.
However, if you are against SOE's handling of SWG and still paying for it, them either the game is still so addictive that you can't even kick it, or you are upset but not nearly as much as say... myself, or they don't think it really matters in the grand picture.
Personally, I think if we are criticizing but still paying, we are sending mixed signals, but I understand.

However when someone starts telling me servers are well populated and the game will get better by publish X and that $OE has learnt its lesson and will fix bugs ect... My blood begins to boil, I know as an adult I shouldn't get angry over something like this and I should be able to let it slide. I don't care about SOE, all corporations want your money and will screw you to get. I never said all servers where well populated I said I don't believe mine is empty. People here all say the game is dead and empty. All I said was your "statisical" reasoning wasn't valid, do an actual statisical study if you want credibility. A snapshot of 1 server at 1 particular time, in one or 2 spots is NOT enough data to say anything but the fact you logged in.
I believe the game is no worse off now then it was in CU. Which isn't good. It was never good. And maybe they did learn their leason, time will tell. When you talk about damaging a brand name of any product companies usually "wake up".

I think many MMOs are total crap AO, WoW and AA to name a few but I don't go complaining about them, why?
Because the companies that made those games didn't lie to me, I paid for a product that I ended up disliking so I didn't subscribe after the initial month/trail period. which is fine, plenty of people like those games they're just not my thing. The same as I like EVE, many people passionatly hate it but that's ok it's not everybodies thing.
SWG however is a totaly different kettle of fish (to me atleast), I was lied to and treated no better than a five year old. I take being lied to very personaly, even by big companies I'll avoid their products in the future if there's an alternative on the market.
$medley didn't just lie though, it's like buying a car from a second hand car dealer. He says "I guarantee this car will be fixed when you pick it up tomorrow". You pick it up, it breaks down before you drive it out the yard and he denies ever guaranteeing it and refuses to give you your money back and tells you the car isn't broke it's running fine. He's done that more than once, and maybe I'm just mad for being gullable enough to fall for the lies (even though I left pre-cu due to the BS). It could be I'm just angry at myself, but either way I've taken it personally so I'm gonna do everything in my power to make him just as miserable as the people he ripped off.
Maybe I'll achieve nothing but I'm sure I'll get some satisfaction down the line. Am I being petty? Yes I am, but until it's against the law that's the way it's gonna be. $medley's decisions have cost him and $OE a fair bit of cash up until now, my goal is to make it cost him his job. And any MMO company with two braincells to rub together would have to be insane to hire him with his track record. If he went to any company there'd be an uproar from the playerbase.
