A vampire MMORPG....

Now, I'm not one of those goth dudes or anything, but the other day I dusted off my old copy of "Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines", and I thought to myself...this would be an awesome MMORPG.

All the basics are there.  Open the world a little bit more by greatly increasing the size of the cities.  PvP and conflict?  My idea would be to have everyone start off as a normal human.  Normal humans are the ones who make all the guns, ammo, cloths, body armor, etc. that everyone else uses.

Normal humans can either become vampire hunters with their "holy" powers, or they could become vampires.

PvP would be FFA.  Anyone can kill normal humans, but vampires risk breaking their Masquerade if they do, while vampire hunters risk having their own order turn on them.  Vampires and hunters can kill each other without penalty.

Just sprouting off ideas on a boring Thursday afternoon....

    Yea not a bad idea, played both Vampire the Masquerade'd and there pretty good, appart from the fact that you can complete them :*(

    Nice stats, skills, weps and armours, would be good being a MMORPG although i doubt it will happen :)

    Yeah kind of like Morrowwind when you have vampires and if bitten by one you become one but still have other normal classes. I think all those who wouldn't want to be a vampire may start hunting the vampires but vampires would need blood to survive therefore would be hard to be descret but neccessary. I like it

    First off....LOVED Masquerade...best Vampire game I have ever played. And yes...I would love to see them make it an MMORPG. You have differnt Vampire factins...you have the differnt Vampire Hunter Factions...and then you have just plain old Humans who are trying to take advantage of both sides. Wow it would be a great game.

    Secondly...I looked at the Dark Edan page. Man, it doen't even look close to what MikeMonger was talking about. I bet you haven't even played Vampire Masquerade have you? Trust me...big difference.

    Lastly...THE NEW BLADE TV SEIES ON SPIKE IS GOING TO SUCK!!!!! (and not in the good way)

    no i havent played masquerade. but i believe dark eden is as close as you will get to a vampire mmo

    I remember reading a post a week ago or so about the people who made Horizons making a game called Dark World, where there would be 3 factions, Vampires, Werewolves, and Humans, and they'd do some pvp or something like that in a big city. Don't know if it's true or anything, the link just had a page with some information, and even if it, it would be years before it was ready probably.

    SWEET!!!! That Darkworld Online sounds like it has a lot of potential. I hope that it is as good as it sounds....

    Yes.  You would figure some game company would get the hint by now.  If done right, it would be a very imaginative MMO
