Yes that was the only SoE game that I liked.... I had alot of fun with that game exploring/soloing and since I was on a fairly small server I basically knew everyone on it ( or at least saw them many times ). Do people still play the game? I sometimes think about playing it again because it was so much fun exploring and what not.. ( like this time I found a village of aviaks bird people with no meaning just to look at it. )

Yeah, people still play it. Check out Allakhazam, lol. Just thought it was kinna weird that there isnt a forum for it... I realy liked the game too, but I ended up quitting eventually, got my nec to 60, got mc lich and both mcas...Hated being a pact b*$#h in raids tho, so it wasnt very fullfilling for me.

That was put on that site in 2003 man... The topic is more about EQOAs future and such.

There used to be a forum for it here.  They removed it because no-one was using it.  EQOA is still going in any case.  The game is actually getting a new raid zone in the next few months, and there have been major buffs to most of the classes in the last few weeks.  The game currently has the best set of devs it's ever had, imo.

I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.

Man, I loved that commercial. It was so lame you couldn't help but laugh. I was planning on getting EQOA anyways, but that sold me on it. Oddly enough, EQOA was probably my favorite MMO in my 7 years of playing them, even though the game is so simple you can't even sit, do a /who, or tons of other stuff.

Don't think the game has much a future though, looks to be dying slowly, though the game was never very much alive. I think it hit 60,000 peeps max, and that was only because they were giving the game away with Network Adaptors for a while there, and this was one of the earlier online games for the Ps2. Maybe that's why I liked it, pretty tight community. Everyone pretty much knew everyone else....then they quit one by one due to pretty much zero content. Shame.

My Family plays EQOA. We all have fun with it.

The game is still going strong. Lots of new things are happening with the game. Another zone will become available soon. The development team is continuously adding and changing things, even quest ideas from players. They have already used a couple suggestions that I have shared with them. There may not be many of us, but many of us are  loud and loyal players.

As for the forum closing on this site, that is no plroblem. EQOAers have the official forums and fan created forums (unofficial EQOA, server and guild sites). We manage to communicate with each other and our game developers.

So, yes, the game still exists. New players all the time and older ones coming back. We have entire familys playing with other familys. It's pretty great. EQOA may not be the "best" game out there but most of us that play it think otherwise.

About the EQOA television advertisement: I am currently out at sea and am unable to play EQOA. I do not recall seeing the commercial for the game on television but I did find it online. I downloaded the ad (along with Family photographs) to my PSP so that I can get a little thrill when I find I am missing my Everquest Online Adventures (and Family). I also have some maps and a picture of myself from the game. Silly.

I will be home in two and a half months. Can't wait to embrace my Loved ones and continue my adventures on the fanatstic world of Norrath.

Probably not a forum here for EQOA because it is a console game.  Everquest for children.

The average age of the EQOA player = 15

Most people I play with in EQOA are adults. Usually in their 20s or 30s. One or two have been in their 40s. I was born on February 7, 1959.

It would be rude of me to share my Wife's age here without her consent.

Though, I have to admit back when I played (Feb 2003-Aug 2003) the larger portion of the population were in their middle teens. Of course, that was because they were giving the game out for free, so most of the people were just trying it for the hell of it, and not planning on staying very long.
