What do you expect? WC and WC2 are like 90% stolen from Games Workshop stuff, even starcraft was 50% from WH40k. They only started diverging from GW stuff in WC3 making orcs less of the stupid brutes of GW stuff and adding in Night Elves which are non-GW. Although the WoW demons are clearly influenced by Chaos of Gw their cosmology is way different and they are so much fluffier and nicer that I classify them as signifcantly differemt.
WoW is extremely derivaitive and not really that creative. Its fun and they make very good efforts to provide good story, but they are by no means particularly creative. Combine that with the fact that they originally tied themselves to a universe/sensibility they are no longer being faithful to and well expect more stuff like this. WC3 marked their attempt to extricate themselves from the much darker sensibilities of the Warhammer universe they originally ripped off and they are clearly trying to continue that trend.
And don't use Diablo(which is somewhat original) as any sort of example, Blizzard North was long ago shutdown since 90% of its employyes left and was always fairly separate from the Blizzard stuff. Just look up Hellgate: London and Flagship studios if you want proof/info.
