Are you talking about open or closed game betas?  Some open listed here are in a foreign language and I guess you need some knowledge of the language to register.  Some of the games here may have closed their registration.  And other "betas" have gone gold.  I've seen betas last from a couple weeks to months if not years.  I found the more highly rated open betas very seldom have long betas-  usually about a month.
