Joining COV AND COH

blunder1983blunder1983 Member Posts: 52

Hi guys,

I joined up with COH a long time ago, I replayed it a little last year and then stopped. I might have chars there but I'm really only keen on playing COV this time around (better archetypes it seems).

Anyway, I ordered COV this weekend, and for my 14.99 I got the regular edition of COV AND the deluxe edition of COH.

Initially I was intending on using my key for COV on my current PlayNC account and going from there. But, if I create a new account using my new COH and COV together would I get one month or two months free?

Anyone know?

To get the two months free you may need to start a whole new PlayNC account.

But whatever you do, DON'T reg both the CoV and Deluxe CoH codes at the same time.
Guaranteed to only get one month free that way (excepting drawn out fights with PlayNC Account support staff).

Reg one, and sometime during that free month cancel.
After that month expires (like the next day) UPGRADE the same game account with the other code (do not ADD GAME, that way you'd end up paying 15.99 for each sub). That way you'll get two months free play time on one game (whichever you reg first) and one month free on the second.

From then on, you can just pay the one 15.99 to sub for both games.

Upgrading your exisitng CoH standard account with the deluxe code /should/ get a free month,
but I can't say for sure it would. The path I described is what I used, and worked perfectly.

You CAN get the two free months by upgrading your existing account.
I recommend you upgrade your existing account, just in case you want to play your old heroes.

Just go in to your old PlayNC account.
And make sure you UPGRADE! (Very important... ::::20:: )
You bill date should be sometime in July. (ie. 2 months free playtime)

That way you'll get two months free play time on one game (whichever you reg first) and one month free on the second.
I've never heard of anyone getting 3 months... ::::05::

I'm pretty sure you were just trying to be funny (not too successfully btw) but really, think about it.
Whichever you reg first you get free for that month, and for the free month off the second code.

For example, reg the CoH code, play that for a month, reg the CoV code, and continue playing CoH for a second free month. Only able to play CoV free for one month.
Nobody said anything about three months

And blunder, I'm pretty sure it'll work.
Let us know if it does so we can pass the knowledge on ::::20::

Relax, I just misread that's all...

I've registered multiple codes, and so have some of my friends.
It should work fine as long as everything's 'Upgraded'.

    That's good to know.
I've got a couple AA codes I need to stack and that takes the worry out.
(Course in my experience NCSoft's alwyas been better about these things than other companies)

    Thanks for the inside info.
