I found out about this mmorpg  Minions of Mirth from pc gamer, its worth a check out http://www.prairiegames.com/
its got graphics comparable to eq1's graphics or so well done i must say, and this was made by 2 people!!!! which i find amazing, whats really diffrent about this is the free version has most of the features of the one time 30$ no monthly fee servers, and that you can play offline as well in the world on your own pc, or host your own server with friends, also whats cool is being able to mod the world by adding anything you want to it..... anyone heard of it, or checked it out yet?

How is the PvP in that game?

Yes, my brother found this game a couple months back and swears by it.  You pay a one time fee of $30 (no monthly fee) and download it from its site.  It wasn't created by the big companies, but puts their games to shame.  It's a game that has imagination, not same old same old.  I haven't played it because I am taking a break from MMORPGs for the time being, but based on my brother's info, I highly recommend it.

Hrmm, I've seen worse looking games. Maybe I'll give this one a try after or during my 10 free days of "Please come back to our game," EQ2!

I was told tons of people got this e-mail to come back....Bah! I played for 3 months during the summer break last year in june/july/august and I recieved no e-mail today...

And yes it was EQ2. not EQ1(although that game is probably better in some ways)

EDIT: Wow I just looked at this post...uhh yah This was in regards to everquest 2, I don't even know how it got mixed up in this Minions of Mirth thread!? But anyway, I did play minions of mirth earlier and it felt like an exact clone of EQ1, same skills and everything. not a bad thing considering its F2P after the innitial purchase with offline play as well.

It wasn't even an email. It was a straight up letter. It even stated my character's name. I was impressed that they took the time to print out everyone's character names. Also included was a full color poster (doubled sided) with "helpful hint" for each class when it comes to PVP. Sadly, they wasted their cash on me. I'll just play for my 10 free days :P

Wow, sounds like a great game for free.

I browsed the forums and their MoM manual.  Some interesting features.

For example, you can unlock "monster templates" and play as a monster!

    Older IGN interviews, sounds great:

    Part 1
    Part 2

I even read in the forums that RvR servers(?) were added recently, *happy*.

Going to check it out tonight...
