Oh god...I went back....

Okay...I haven't logged on to WoW in almost 2 months. I have a lvl 60 Dwarf Warrior on Cho'gall...Did MC and was running BWL and AQ 20/40 and just got burned out. So now a few folks I knew from my server have rolled Horde on the fairly new Black Dragonflight server...And found myself makeing a Tauren Shammy and hit lvl 15 before I knew what happened. I think i just got sucked back in...And I seem to be having fun...Again. I swear Blizzard has done something to make us keep coming back...Like KFC has done, putting in some "special ingrediant" that makes us keep eating their friggin' chicken! It's a conspiracy, I tell ya'!!!! Anyway, I gave EQII another shot, reactivated my account, played for about 15 mins...And cancelled again. So, here I am again, playing WoW.....hmmmmm.

So, if anyone is thinking of coming back, jump on Black Dragonflight and roll horde and help me kill some stuff! The name is Eatmorechikn...

I'm thinking about it but call me crazy I just want to hear reviews for Dark and Light once released. Right now though I have a few single player games to keep me busy just incase.

I did almost the same thing!  Burned on WoW I tried D&D (canceled after 5 days). After sunking way too many hours into Oblivion I decided to re-activiate my EQ2 account. Like you, I played like 30 minutes and canceled.  This game has no apeal to me, what so ever.  So I loged back in WoW and what do you know... I'm having fun!

I think it's gonna take a pretty damn good game to stir me away from WoW.  I mean I will try most, but I always seem to find my way back to WoW... eh

Yes, i swear Blizzard has done something to make WoW so addicting. Ever since i played WoW, i just cant seem to have fun with any other game (EQ, EQ2, CoH/CoV, DAoC and GW)

Lol, i just cant seem to get away from WoW

Well this is the best mmorpg..

WHY TAKE OTHERS SOULS WHEN YOU ONLY NEED ONE???

98% of the teenage population does or has tried smoking pot. If you're one of the 2% who hasn't, copy & paste this in your signature

  • Don't worry once you hit 60 the reason you stopped will come crashing down like a ton of bricks.  I play AA now myself and am having more fun leveling than I did in WoW.  Why play rogue in WoW when I can be a Bounty Hunter with a motorocycle?  The coming back thing is more than just WoW I used to do the same thing back when I played MUD's.  I hear cho'gall is really empty now.  Someone was asking for a server merger on the general boards.

As for DnL for the second poster, um, if I were you I would be very careful/suspicious/low expectations with that one.

It does seem like a conspiracy as people seem to come back to wow no matter what. If you have ever read the message boards in wow community site than you can tell that a bunch of people quit. However whenever they say that, they are just trying to threaten Blizzard (unsuccessfully as Blizzard knows that they will come back anyway). Call this a monopoly but once you pick it up all over its like a brand new game that you have never experienced. Also the same thing happened to me as I have quit the game for about a year or so and now I can't get enough of it.

When I quit I posted on the boards while I waited for my subscription to expire.  I have stayed quit, will not be buying the expansion and will probably not buy another blizzard product.

Yes a number of people are wishy washy or just plain addicts/abused spouses who can't quit and some are just naive,  but many do quit permanently.

For me, personally,  PvP EQ2 servers are just as good or better than WoW.  So perhaps the "There is nothing better out there" meme just never affected me.  However I do know I am not giving blizzard any more money, ever.

Don't worry you will quit again when you hit 60, it's the same damn thing even after 2 years of development time, unless you raid all the time.

The game just doesn't support any other playstyle well at all.

    I had 2 60's a 50ish a 40ish and 4 30ish characters.

What's the point of all the leveling if the end game blows and will never change?

    The expansion?

Yeah, the thing that was supposed to fix the non-raiding game (as touted by the official forums mods), take a look at what happend to the multi-wing 5 man instance .... 1 wing is 40 man, wonder where all the good stuff is going to drop?  Karazhan has a lockout timer, so what would I do the other 5 days of the week?

The new blue PvP sets are going to be upgraded, but you will have to regrind, so meh that's not exciting either.

The PvP system is still so horrible that it's impossible to reach the top without sharing your account info or quitting your job.

I'm looking forward to WAR, I would have gone back to DAOC but the UI is just so archaic after playing WOW.

Best MMO out there? Maybe if you like care bear raiding and can't handle EQ. For PvP, RP, and non-raiding PvE endgame it blows.

The 1-59 game is great, but like i said who cares when the end always sucks.

Wow, had no idea this would turn into an attack forum. Look, I have played all the games out there just like you guys (and gals) and, to me, they are all boring at the "end". Most of you are right, I probably will quit once I hit 60 for a time but I am going to try to have fun doing it. Part of the experience is just levelling the chrctr. and that's in any game, pretty much. Yea, we all know BLIZZARD is not perfect and far from it...But neither are any of the other game makers out there. I was just posting saying that I am giving it another try...And I am no kid with no imagination. I am 33, fairly successful, minored in art at UGA and have a seriously vivid imagination. It's a game...That's it. There will never be a perfect game, it's just not possible to satisfy everyone with one product. I am like most of you, however, counting on WAR to bring something new to the table. Until then, I will keep questing and grinding while placing the ignorant and immature on mu ignore list, count my gold, get some good equipment and, yes, probably will be bored yet again at 60 and "quit". That's my choice because there isn't much else out there that is worth a damn.

There's just a lot of WoW burnout going on now and a lot of good new games coming out that after E3 are looking like they will be delivering what WoW promised to deliver before it became raid fest so ya you got a lot of annoyed people here.
