played 3 days now.....cancelled subscription.
Reasons.
1. Money Grind...ridiculously hard
2. Bots..all better equppied than me , even though i'm actually trying to earn cash properly.
3. No other new players to interact with.
4. No shops selling cheaper gear.
Other than that i liked it honest....just feels like it's a game for high level players and bot farmers.
I Ended up stuck in Gludin Village after going there for a low level quest...it forgot to mention i needed 6k to get back....so basically screwed.
Think this game will only be kept alive by botters and long term subscribers not wanting to lose their hard earned chars..which is understandable.
Anyway cancelled subscription..can see this just getting more fustrating. will stick to beta testing games prior to paying in future.

Actually i never cancelled..just said that out of pure fustration..
I paid for a month i'll play for a month...i'm fustrated not stupid.
I always earn my own way in games and try to equip myself as i go along.
Also just learned the pet quest is a useless money magnet..and should never have ported there. As i said i'm learning the hard way atm.
*Update* 2 very kind players took pity on me and helped me out...i am once again killing and earning.

WOW...you're defending bad game mechanics...that's just sad.
You don´t know the diffrence between a fact and an oppinion, now THATS sad
You obviously had some "issues" in your 3 short days.....
Did you talk to anyone? You said you made it to Gludin. There are plenty of people in Gludin
Why did you go to Gludin anyway? The only quest that sends you there from the starter areas is your class transfer quest. If that is the case, you need to move on anyway. (That would imply you are around level 17 or 18 or so...you don't have 6k to port back???)
You are aware that the newbie helper gives buffs and trades items for better gear until lvl 25, don't you? It is very cheap to upgrade gear at this point. The newbie helper also tells you where the best places to hunt are for your level.
What level did you make it to?
Did you do your first class transfer?
What did you think about how the economy once you saw how it worked? You understand the idea of buy low / sell high? (I just reveiled the secret of the L2 economy to you)
My first week was sort of rough, it takes a bit of time to figure it out as it is very different from the hand holding, spoon feeding games but its not hard.

thats not true, I remember there is a quest on talking island that you can get at low lvl that sends you to gludin as well. it would be better if the op did that quest at the same time as his class transfer quests, but thats something you just have to know or find out the hard way but that on a sidenote
First of all, play more than three days.
Second, I don't think the money thing should be THAT big of an issue if you used everything given to you.
The best way when starting out to easily upgrade, use free buffs, free soulshots/spiritshots, the exchanging of equipment, and the quests. If you used and did all these, money should not be that big of an issue.
Also, in 3 days, you really haven't experienced much. Get atleast in the 20's range where you change classes and start going on raids (there are TONS of boss monsters ranging from lvl 20-80. Check Adventure Guild Member, located in every city).
What level are you? What server?

The Millenium something quest is level 15, perfect level for Gludin ...and its only 2,400 adena to get the boat back to Talking Island, but as already mentioned you dont need to hurry back there now youre on the mainland.

So sue me, its been like 7 or 8 months since I did the starter quest lol.

So there's no grinding for levels/adena in L2 at all? REAAALLLY. So I must have been imagining things last time I played it then.
Except i think the lvl grind in unbearable also.

Oh dear, I don't have to go back to an npc every 5 minutes and the periods between typing "ding" is longer, now Lineage 2 is completely diffrent from all other mmo's and its much more of a grind then other mmo's.
