You're probably better off asking on the Official Forums, http://community.istaria.com/forum/index.php where not only will you get lively discussion (sic) but some very substantial answers.

Hmm. Don't think so. On the official forums you'll get a very biased opinion, same as you would with EQ2 or WoW, in favor of the game.

Ofocurse, here you might get a biased opinion, but very negative, and largely inaccurate.

And playing the free trial won't help either, unless you play hardcore for that time, since you'll barely scratch the surface of the game and have NO inclining about the later levels.

Well, if that's so and you're going to get polarised reviews either way, you may as well just download it and try it.

So... you're saying don't even try the trial because if you like it and are having fun... well be warned you might stop at some point?

This happens with most games and is what is happening to a lot of WoW players, but who cares if for a while they play a game and have fun and later get bored?

I'm new to the game and having fun, and since I'm not making a "life" out of this I'll go with that.
