i would say blood elves, but since they're not in the game until the expansion i would go for the Forsaken

race doesn't affect how good a mage is in the end its all about skills then gear that makes a difference. in 1v1 pvpin its all about skills...in group pvpin its all about team work. for pve its how ur built is and ur gear......

I'd have to go with the undead as the better mages on the Horde side. Will of the Forsaken is so useful, and cannibalize is a great "free food."

1st up, check your title "What would u say the best class for mage with horde?"

Secondly, your race doesnt matter how good your character is. Racial skills dont come in much when playing the game, they are mainly just to make the races slightly different when you start off. At higher levels youll hardly ever be using racial skills.

In my personal opinion, i would say Undead. Trolls dont get any racial skills that help mages (correct me if im wrong, i havent played a troll in ages), mainly just ones to help rogues and hunters. Undead dont get anything to help you like that either, but they can breath underwater for longer (3 or 4 times. I actually timed this, lol.) and can canabalise to gain health when hunting humans. They can overcome fear and some other moves aswell, with one of their racial skills.
