I know that this is a total noob question, but oh well. I am a video gamer, but what does PvP mean, person v person? What does RvR, and RvE mean. Sorry for my stupidity, but if someone could help me out, I would be much obliged.

PvP -- player vs. player. Player characters can attack each other.
RvR -- Realm vs Realm. Player characters belonging to one realm can attack those belonging to another realm, often in some form of structured combat. Usually used in reference to Dark Age of Camelot, which pioneered this form of PvP and is still generally considered to be one of the best implementations of it.
RvE I've never heard of. I think you may have misremembered "PvE"-- player vs environment, where players fight monsters run by the game code instead of other players.

I've seen more than one person type "RvE" I took it to mean PvE or perhaps a special realm ability in a particular situation. For example, if all Hibs in DAoC were granted night vision. Then I went back to my original thinking that the author meant PvE.
