European or US Servers?

Hey everyone. I'm gonna be getting DAoC soon, and was wondering if I should play the American or the European servers? I'm from England myself, but heard the European servers were getting kind of dead. But I was wondering if the time difference between Europe and America would make it difficult for me to play if I were to play the American servers? I need your opinion please people.. I live in Europe and play on US server (RP). Good thing is, its hosted by Mythic, so I have better ingame support and all patches are much earlier. Bad thing is, during the day is harder to find a group, so have to play at night.

Thanks for the reply What times do you usually play at?  Also, is Ranger a good/fun class?

I play when my guild plays, so its usually late night or very early morning, like 6 am 
I don't know much about rangers, never played one, played theurg, armsman, cabalist, heretic, necro, infiltrator, wizard, runemaster, enchanter and warden. Also few others, but only low levels.

And right now I can't play at all due to rl (work)

Well, I think I'm like 6 hours ahead of the US, so the time difference could be awkward. I just want to try RvR really, so I think it'd be better if I play on the EU servers. What's the population like in the US at around 9 am to 3 pm?
