Was reading carefully through the EULA, and came across:

Software Available on this Web Site
Any software that is made available to download from this Website ("Software") is the copyrighted work of Farlan Entertainment and/or suppliers. / ... / or redistribution is expressly prohibited. The Software is warranted, if at all, only according to the terms of the license agreement. Except as warranted in the license agreement, soe hereby disclaims all warranties and conditions with regard to the software, including all implied warranties and conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.

And it made me think "hey, did they just visit Sony Online Entertainment and ripped their EULA, changing the name?" I would be a huge laugh, seeing the EULA in itself is a lot about copyright and infringment :-)

How pathetic....

    LOLOLOLOL yeh, lets enforce this one, of course , AFTER we get outta the lava with copyright infringement from SOE. LOLOLOLOLOLOL thing is, Farlans fans and mods who are devs are the first ones to blast SOE. LOLOLOLOLOLOL How friggin stupid.

    no of course not!!! ANd you see, they made that EULA from their own Attorneys, thats their OWN wording, it was a simple translation miscommunication and they are creators of the EULA that resides in thier game and says SOE, its SOE that is now infringing on THEIR copyrights.(and btw, since it says SOE now, we can blame the horrible mess on SOE now too )

     Yeh yeh thats the ticket.....its our copyright, we develop...er...made it up...er...had our attorneys draw this up while we had an SOE employee at our offices and somehow he got into our programs and hacked into the EULA and put SOEs name in there. This happened of course during the black outs the entire area experienced and while all of us were sick and some of the other ppl stole the knowledge we had in our heads about the technology behind the product we developed around the same time those others hacked into the server at the release of SOG for a full week and a half. So you see, plenty of room for some miscommunication and especially from french to English to occur. Thats all it is good fans.....miscommunication.

    It's been fixed.  The soe reference has been corrected to read "Farlan".  Hehehe kind of reminds me of a snafu I had when I did a college book report...

    Which one you flaming? Nefherder or LilBo? If you think LilBo is Nef, you are way off. As I have stated in earlier posts, I speak with LilBo off board quite a bit. I happen to know his ingame name, his old dnl forum name and nope, Nefherder aint it.

    I'm neither a Fanboy or a Flamer of this game, so it doesn't matter to me if they can't handle the text written on the page.  And the flame was only a joke amongst friends to be honest; I'd noticed that Lil seems to do a lot of flaming around here and wanted an opportunity to use the Flame Template that a friend of mine came up with.

    R U for real? First off, I do not see LilBo flaming posters themselves unless he is attacked first.
    Secondly, the "flaming" you insist on using that word isnt flaming at all. He is a current player. he is voicing his experience with the game. He is voicing his frustrations. Third, There are quite a few on this board that do so also.Fourth, I do not see him flaming you. Singling him out only gives me ideas about who and what you really are.
    AND FIFTH -- LOOK AT WHO POSTED THIS!!!

    Hehe...  First off, I have seen some pretty unnecessary comments from Lil across the boards.  I have no real vendetta against him, and as I noted: I was only using a template outlined by a friend of mine for some inside laughs.  I'm sorry if you have trouble accepting that...  Secondly, I'm glad that he is a player and, considering the current state of the game, I am very understanding to what frustrations and experiences he may have with the game right now.  Third, I've noted that as well.  Fourth, I could care very little for your impressions or opinions of me.

    So you see fit to post a flame in an otherwise decent thread about me? Unnecessary comments? Because you dont like them? Too damned bad dude. And I suppose you believe THIS GAME You are playing as "necessary"? Be real man. Dont worry you wont get this one locked too.

    Shhh...  Farlan doesn't want you to notice that!!  They were trying to save money there and now they'll have to end up paying money to SOE in a law suit.  Man, you guys are slow...  Er wait; Farlan is slow, my bad

    heh one of the fanbois even went so far as to try and say the 'soe" was a typo! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

    The thing that makes this so so funny is that they kept on spouting the EULA, over and over again, thats all they would fall back on and here someone who actually even bothered to read it (LOL) shows all it ever was, was a simple cut and paste. SImple to the point where they didnt finish replacing all the SOE references. LOLOLOLOL Yet another example of the outright stupidity of these devs. And you are right! What other area is there for them to screw up in?????? LOLOLOLOLOLOL
