I decided to buy a new pc game. I'm thinking of a MMORPG, but I'd be happy to here any of your suggestions on what you think is fun, and worth getting. I also tend to enjoy online games more. If the game pays monthly, I wouldn't want it to be any more then $15.00 per month.
Any suggestions would be great. Some of the following are games that I'm considering getting, so it'd be great if you could tell your opinion a with them as well.
Auto Assault
City of Heros/Villans
Dungeons and Dragons Online
EVE Online
EverQuest
Final Fantasy XI
Lineage 2
Starwars: Galaxies
World of Warcraft
Dark Age of Camelot
Note: I already have Guild Wars: Factions, Counterstrike: Source, and Warcraft III and the Frozen Throne.
So what are your thoughts; opinions?
Ben

Than its just useless Item Griding.
Sure, ill do my best:
Auto Assault - This game is fun if you are into vehicles. That's pretty much it. The targetting system is alright, I find the game to be more of a demolition derby than anything. You run over people shoot them, get new weapons, etc. Nothing ground breaking here.
City of Heros/Villans - I guess if you're into heroes, this game is for you. What I found worst about this game was the lack of feeling "accomplished". You mold your character at the start, and it just felt like that every time you leveled up, you got nowhere. You don't get new clothes, no real outside characteristics or anything. That, and every quest is "go into X instance, kill Y mobs, and their boss".
Dungeons and Dragons Online - Major PvE/Dungeon Game (then again, what did you expect). The game revolves around teamplay, and running dungeons. If you were a tabletop fan, this follows the tabletop form pretty well. I found that the game is rather hard to solo, so unless you find/have some friends, it gets pretty boring pretty fast. Still, its good PvE and RPing.
EVE Online - Have a good book handy? EVE is all travel, all the time. You want to get somewhere? you have to travel there in real time. Have fun flying everywhere and finishing War and Peace on the way. Good team based PvP, but definately one of those love/hate no inbetween games (try the trial if you want to know for yourself)
EverQuest - If you're looking to play EverQuest, I would play EverQuest II. Shiny graphics, and I honestly didn't mind the game. The fantasy setting is nicely laid out, quests are intuitive, and fun. I didn't like the "ding you've recieved new skills for leveling up" bit, but other than that, it's a pretty solid game.
Final Fantasy XI - Compltely team based game. Party or die kind of thing. If you've ever played a Final Fantasy console game, this is no different, except instead of having the party yourself, you have to find others to join you. Although, I heard they were implementing a way to hire NPCs to help you, so that might be nice. Either way though, the game is majorly team based, so unless you have friends or are good at making them, tread lightly. Combat is turn based, in case you didn't play any FF games before.
Lineage 2 - I'm a Lineage II hater, so I will tread lightly on this subject. The game supposedly has amazing PvP once you get high level... but then again, if you can get that high, just killing animals all day long, you deserve to have some reward. I am not for the "kill x things for no apparent reason other than to level" type, but if you are, go ahead. Also, clothing is the same for everyone, and that kind of bored me.
Starwars: Galaxies - What to say about SWG? They have New Game Enhancements... which kind of took the game from an intelligent scale, to a kid scale. The game was dumbed down a lot, in very bad ways. Combat is pretty dull now (even though they were trying for the opposite) but player cities and crafting is supposed to be pretty well done.
World of WarCrack - Well, exactly as the name says, people get addicted to this like... well.. crack. It's a pretty basic MMO, you don't even have to mess with your stats, and there are really no penalties for doing anything wrong. You misused your talents? ok reset them. The game is heavy on PvE, with dungeon raids at higher levels, and a Capture the Flag type PvP called Battlegrounds. It is a very largely populated game, so you can't go wrong there.
Dark Age of Camelot - If you are one of those people who cares about graphics, stay away from DAoC. Graphics are outdated, because of the age of the game. The PvE is WoW(esque) with a lot of simple quests, instanced dungeons, etc. The game shines in PvP with their RvR system (which is going into WAR) where tons of players can duke it out over outposts of land. Whoever controls outposts, can do certain PvE dungeons, which adds a little more reason to take things over. Very fun game, graphics are just on the low side.

Some people like the travel, some like mining, some like more action. EVE can offer all of that but it doesn't lead you around by the nose, you actually have to put some effort into finding your little niche in the game, it's a small drawback to the games open-endedness.
i love runescape 2 bits, it is $5 i think
if u don't like that, then i am sorry that i cannot help u
