Character killing flaw

Don't know if you all know this but I think this is very important for everyone to know.

DDO has a bug in it that could cause your characters alignment to change for no reason.  I made a character with the concept of being a Rogue/Bard.  I made the alignment NG as to be able to run both.  I worked with a couple of friends for a few hours to get to second level.  I went to the Bard trainer to get my first level of Bard.  The trainer tells me I can't due to my alignment.  I look at my alignment and it has been changed to LG.  I submit a help request.  The on-line dm tells me that Turbine is aware of the problem, please go to the forums under the alignment change topic and submit my info.  I do just that thinking they will just go in and change my alignment back.  After submitting and reading the other posts it turns out they are having trouble finding the cause.  The bug has been there since release and the answer is, "Create the character again and hope it doesn't happen again".  WTF!!! 

That has to be the worst response from customer service I have ever seen.  I understand they are having trouble fixing the bug but why don't they just go in and return the 100 or so characters (number estimated from post) to their original alignment?  All they say is "create teh character again and hope it doesn't happen again".  BS!
