D&L Fanbois

It's terrifying.  It really is.  I was just reading the D&L forums, and there are STILL people who believe that the game will have everything they promised on "release".

Release, BTW, NOT being the May 30 release, but the June 5 release.

So, they expect it to take 4 days to get from where the game is now to where the game was advertised to be.

How can people become so blindly fanatic about a GAME?

And that reminds me...has anyone seen Xanth lately?  I'd like him to comment on how most of the posts on the official forums state that D&L is just SoG with a few addons, after his many vehement assertations that SoG and D&L were COMPLETELY different.

    The delusional fanboi posts on this forum definitely diminish when hype is replaced with reality.

    C'mon, give them a break. It's not that much money they lost. "it's only what they would spend for an evening at the movies with their women." I wish I had 54.99 for every time someone said that.

    sorry more on topic...I was reading the boards there this morning. Most people seemed pretty pissed off. They didn't see it coming or something. But I got a chuckle out of the guys that said..."It's not officially released until June 5th. So how can someone give an honest review. The games not even out yet." Sad people. How long did it take to develop the game to the current state? And it's going to get how much better in 5 days?

    Its just the latest line of BS being thrown out. Even the dang patch is a waiting game.....not even released yet.....gimme a frickin break. And you are damn right there are no fanbois here saying 'just wait and see" ...cuz guess what? You lost fanbois. It is a pile of excrement.

    Actually I think it's partly that we dislike the game so much that causes people to love it....

    Just like when a girls father forbids his daughter to ever see you again it make her want you more

    Xanth/Xelphneigh was bragging about being part of the 'internal beta' which had the release version a couple weeks before everyone else saw it...He saw THIS and stil had the balls to come here and prclaim DnL is NOT SoG. I bet he bought into the Dev promises for a miricle build too.

    The truth is that in some ways the closed beta was much more advanced as far as character graphics and spell effects over a year ago...I guess they had to turn down all the effects to try and counter their crippling lag/low fps.

     Anyway, I'll check back on the 5th to have a few more laughs.

    Did you miss their post about them stating they had to compress the graphics right befoe the Pioneer Launch!

    I'm not a fanboi but...

    I'll stick with this game. If it manages to pull everything off and get in the content that it promised, then it will be incredibly fun to play.

    This will take a while even WHEN everything gets added since people will be raising levels and still exploring the place. The launch was rushed (even though it has been delayed to hell) and it still seems like a beta. They just couldn't afford to delay it any more with all the complaining.

    I really want this to get pulled off. Great idea for a mmorpg. Now they just need to do what they promised, even if it's late.

    So why not just put it down for six months and see if they can fix it? If they do you got a good game to play. If not you haven't thrown good money after bad.

    Even in large well organized companies with competant programmers it takes time to correct bugs and add content. In Np3's case it will take years but I bet they will go bankrupt from lack of customers long and have to shut the servers down long before that happens.

    I miss DAoC
