11. How many BH's came after you? about 80 total
12. How many BH did you kill? How many times did you die? About 60 / ZERO!!! I NEVER died by BH.
13. What did you make your Alt (or your main for the Pre-9's)? MBH / MR / Medic - A Jedi hunter
14. If you were Pre-9, what title did you get to? If you were in the FRS, what rank did you get to? None. I unlocked right before the FRS was turned off
15. What was your favorite Jedi ability? Force Lightning or Dervish
16. What was your favorite memory fo being a Jedi? When I and a good friend took out 4 Jedi who tried to gank us. By chance we ended the fight with our bcks to eachother, and our sabers went out at the same moment. That, or Unlocking...
17. My Message to my fellow Jedi: Be proud. We accomplished something that will NEVER be matched in gaming history, and no one can take that away from us.

Pre-CU. It was September 2004.

NO. I did have 2 Holos though, 1 free and the other I found. I unlocked  by accident really. Like a fellow poster I explored ALOT. I was a crafter and not much of a fighter. To be honest I was extremely lucky, I believe ever profession I tryed was the "right" one. I remember I had to go to the village, but it was only for one profession.

What was your favorite non-Jedi profession? 
Master Architect 

How did unlocking make you feel?
GREAT! Best Feeling I ever had in a game. When I completed my trials and got those robes, that was truly EXCELLENT!

What was your favorite trial?
Sorry can't remember

Where was your trainer?
Scout trainer in THEED. I was rebel (highest rank), boy did that stink!

What was your favorite Template & why? It's easy after all this time to miss by a few SP's, so please, no flaming, and this is a Post-Pub-9 question.
I was a self buff. Forgot the set up, but I never had to leave Endor unless I need BF, mind heals. Got all the Jedi novice blocks. May have reached Master Light Saber (bah can't remember) and was going heavy on the Defense tree before the CU hit and I lost interest in the game because of CU.

What was the name of your first Saber?
Rudi01. LOL. I probably should have given it a better name. 

What was the style, saber color & crystals in your best saber?
My red one 2H one. I remeber someone seeing me using a saber without any crystals. They felt sorry for me and took me to their guild house and gave onto me a bunch of flawless crystals to use good people.

What did you wear?
My light jedi outfit. And some BE clothing (gloves, hat, undershirt). 

How many BH's came after you?
LOTS! At first I was extremely careful, as I got higher rank, I thought I could take on the world. I was an easy target. Easy target because I didn't know the first thing about PvP, I was always saving others and didn't care about the BH terminals. 

How many BH did you kill? How many times did you die?
20 or so BH and their goons in total I would say. 8 times I think. I always thought BH of the same faction should not hunt you *shrug*. One BH I remember well, tricked me with tells, I feel right into his trap

What did you make your Alt (or your main for the Pre-9's)?
A Master Architect. I loved building almost as much as my Jedi.

If you were Pre-9, what title did you get to? If you were in the FRS, what rank did you get to?
The one before Jedi Knight. I may have completed MLS and a few columns too, can't remeber so long ago. I just remeber spending my nights hunting on endor, was so MUCH fun

What was your favorite Jedi ability?
I remember using a charge that targeted team members, helped them somehow, but i forget.

What was your favorite memory fo being a Jedi?
Being admired by all the pretties in cantinas LOLOL

What did you wear? Pre-cu I grinded with my robes on, and when I hit the cantinas I equipped my VKs and a little light jedi outfit including a cloak.  When cu hit I went dark and wore a "sith" suit

My Message to my fellow Jedi: DO NOT take jedi for granted.  I worked my ass off to get jedi, and I wasn't one of those "OMG UBER L33T JEDI!!!"  I was quiet, when I killed you (even BHs) I bowed and moved along.  Anybody who ran around acting like an ass while jedi didn't deserve it, and needed their jedi to be taken away.  I miss the old days and the whole Ranking with masters and Knights.  Jedi are not gods and they are not dirt, they are respectable warriors and they should be known as that, and be remembered for the glory they had pre-nge/cu/pre-cu/pre-9

I was the 2nd to unlock on eclipse server, roughly 8th overall. It was November 2003, dont recall exactly. The one thing I do recall was when it happened, Darth Vader came on (text) and announced that he had sensed a disturbance in the force and to be on the lookout for people displaying unusual powers (something like that). I think that was the coolest part about unlocking. Later they stopped announcing it after a few dozen had done it.


Did you grind Holos? If so, how many did you do? If you unlocked by Holo, what was it?
No holos, I unlocked before they gave hints. Before that, holos did nothing.

What was your favorite non-Jedi profession?
Droid engineer. I know it stunk and even after two major revamps it still never worked right. Still, I played DE right up until the NGE hit.

How did unlocking make you feel?
Shocked because I wasnt expecting it. I hadnt been much into combat having only mastered pistoleer and quickly dropped it. I had grinded through all of the crafting professions and after finishing up droids i got the vader message for the unlock.
I did a lot of exploring but hadnt killed any dark jedi masters or nightsisters or krayts or other mobs once thought to be key to unlocking. When I posted what I had done, many speculated that distance (km) explored might be one factor cause i explored a lot. I had spreadsheets with all the points of interest (far more than that idiot list SOE later gave us in datapad) in it.

What was your favorite trial?
I would say finding the enraged dune kimo (or whatever it was called). that thing was so dang hard to find on Lok but my guild came along with 4 rangers spread out and we eventually found one. My guild was a great bunch of guys

Where was your trainer?
None but i did hate having to go to Bestine because i was rebel and got jumped a lot coming out the SP

Master Lightsaber, 4/4/4/0 Defender, 4/0/0/0 healer, 2/0/0/3 Enhancer. Till the day I ebayed my account (2 days before NGE announced officially), I remained unbeaten against any BH. This template was untouchable.

What was the name of your first Saber?
Never named it, left it generic

What was the style, saber color & crystals in your best saber?
Like many, I had 2 sabers...a grinding one and my pvp one. Later once adk came into game, I had one. It had 4 flawless pearls, all tuned to 120, -9fc. I forget speed but it was capped anyway as I was MLS and had some amazing tapes. I used the sunrider crystal for color and later switched to Banes. I always used double blade sabers.

What did you wear?
Black leather gloves with tapes installed, something like +12 double blade speed, +15 general melee speed, +25 general melee accuracy, +10 double blade accuracy.
formfitting undershirt with bio stats
short jacket, i forgot the name but it sorta looked jedi-like. same as gloves all high tapes.
belt, black formal boots, sunguard, black paramiltary pants.
Total, capped general melee speed, capped general melee accuracy, capped double blade speed, capped double blade accuracy, plus some points in force accuracy and force max. I spent a total of 240 million credits on clothing tapes.
Of course, pre-cu i had spent roughly the same amount gathering melee defense, ranged defense, def vs knockdown, def vs dizzy tapes but that was all thrown out thanks to SOE and the CU.

How many BH's came after you?
At first I remained off their mission terms. A point of pride for me was being able to claim that I had remained hidden (as I should have been for the time period). Once I had finished my template, I came out a few times to test myself. Once I saw I could whup most BH easily I got confident enough to fight NPC and out in the open. I still never did pvp in SP and kept my title hidden.
After a while, I had 3 BH that came after me on a regular basis. 2 were rather cool guys who just liked testing me in the hopes of catching me off-guard one night. I even used to tip them their bounty for me (224k) anyway for the effort. The other BH was a headhunter who had claimed to have killed every jedi on eclipse (except me) and constantly came after me, usually when i had a krayt or 4 marauders on me.
total, i averaged maybe 5-10 BH a week for 2 years half of which were the same folks. I'd say 300-400 easily

How many BH did you kill? How many times did you die?
It depended on the BH, sometimes I didnt deathblow them. I would bow and macro the following..."I sense great anger in you, let go of the hate and I will help guide you" I would then run off. If they were foolish enough to follow me, they died
If he deserved a db, I stated the following..."you have much to learn young one" followed by the kill.
If the fight was honorable I usually tipped the BH his bounty.
I killed at least 300
I let 50 go (although I stopped doing this after the CU because most would come for me again)
I never lost. Only once was I even forced to use a holo as my force power was almost gone, and that was because i was tanking a krayt when he came along. The right template, a perfect saber, capped stats in clothing, and good pvp skills = unbeaten
Thats what I loved most about SWG. Effort and time spent gathering good loot meant a real difference in battle. I could actually boost my own ability to win rather than rely on levels alone or a damage multiplier to give me the win. There were plenty of jedi out there who got beat regularly with my same template because they didnt take 2 years to get that perfect saber.
Sadly, now the game is all about satisfying the fast food short attention span crowd.

What did you make your Alt (or your main for the Pre-9's)?
My main remained as he always was once i unlocked, a master droid engineer. I dabbled in ranger, CH, pistols, musician and other crafting professions before settling on master artisan, master merchant along with MDE. 

If you were Pre-9, what title did you get to? If you were in the FRS, what rank did you get to?
I got the knight trials done and then quit just so I could have the title. I hated consensual pvp and wasnt into the whole "fight club" exploit anyway.

What was your favorite Jedi ability?
saber toss / knockdown. I loved putting a mob on its rear and then hammering him while down. It was usually my finishing maneuver

What was your favorite memory fo being a Jedi?
It was shortly after the CU, my guild had quit and disbanded. I was out hunting krayts for pearls and tissues to sell (its how i paid for my loot addiction). I came upon a small group of guys fighting a krayt. Some asshat rifleman /cm with an obvious exceptional t21 stole the kill from them. I watched this group go for a second ancient and sure enough the rifleman started in to outdamage them. I asked for an invite to help. They thought I was a rifleman too, they sure were in for a surprise when my saber lit up. I proceeded to tank this ancient and we took it down. 30 seconds after the kill a BH shows up for me, before the fight got going he backed down. The group knew him and told him I what I did for them.
They invited me to their guild hall soon after. Once I arrived, they were all lined up like the medal scene in Star Wars. I got presented a flawless pearl (from the krayt we had killed that night) along with an invite to their guild. It was such a cool thing to see for a RP like me. I had died and gone to star wars heaven literally.
Sadly, the gang all left after the NGE hit. I hope one day we all get back together in another MMO because they were the best RP I had ever played with.

My Message to my fellow Jedi:
If you truly love Star Wars, quit the game. We will only get our game back if enough folks cancel. Staying only tells SOE its okay to steal our money and develop another game. Take a stand against the immoral and unethical business practices SOE uses

Being a family man and working, I grinded 24 professions with no luck, til I started Weaponsmith.

At 0915am Hawaii Time, 1115am Pacific Time, 4th of June, I just finished Mastering my last box for weaponsmith. I then needed 600 ap and I was desperate cause I needed to log to get ready for work. So I immediately yelled out,"100k for 600 ap". After yelling it out loud in theed a number of times I began to wonder 100k must be worthless since I had no one jumping to my request. I zoomed from the cantina to the starport til finally i started getting requests.

One guy let me train him medic 1 til he ran out. I then started getting a SWG Client error at least 3 times. I was 180 ap away from master and I started getting dropped. Something was up. I was feeling this might be the one.

I flew to Moenia to meet another guy named Dane and he allowed me to train him up to 160 ap for 50k. Well I really didn't know what I had cause my ap points were not moving. They were stuck at 440 ap. I logged out and logged back in and discovered I only needed 20 ap points.

I zoomed around Moenia asking the few ppl that were there, "hey I'll pay you 20k if you let me teach you one thing". Hey I was really desperate cause I was getting close to being late for work.

Finally I ran into someone at the bazaar and he let me teach him range 1. I paid him 20k, however he told me I didn't have to do that and tipped me back. I thanked him and immediately grabbed a shuttle to tyrena on Corellia. I ran over to the Weaponsmith trainer, turned my headphone volume up and selected master weaponsmith.

The screen did it's usual thing,"yeah yeah u are now master weapon blah blah blah".   Then the theme music changed to a dark forboding theme song and then pops up on my screen," you are now atuned with the force blah blah blah"!!!!!!

I did it! Man 25 professions! I surely did not want to have to wait til after publish 9.

I want to thank everyone that ever helped me to reach my goal. Anyone that helped me do ID, inviting me to do musician, grouping up so I can burn, kill, slap and punch my way to master.

I must say when I first started this game I mastered Sharpshooter and Creature Handler and most of you out there who remember pre nerf creatures understand when I say I was not planning on doing any other professions. When the path was finally announced how to get Jedi I decided there was no way I was going to get a holo while TKA, fencers, etc were hogging everything. So I regrettably gave up my professions.

Since then I am so glad I did cause this grind really gave me a chance to explore different aspects of this game. I found each profession I mastered had some really unique pluses for the game. The bad part was the grind took me completely away from enjoying the game.

I remember at the beginning I was so engrossed in killing imps..... I thought the wars we had were just awesome. I remember wanting to explore and keep up on every improvement the devs made or added. When the grind started I would look at an imp reb battle and say,"oh that would be fun but it will set me back. I have to finish this profession".

I finally got to a point where all I could think about was logging on to hurry up and finish this master. After that what will be my next profession to do. When I did decide to do say the geo cave or the death watch for example, I had no defensive skills to go up in there.

2 holos. Merchant and TKM. I was a city mayor so spent most of my time helping others get jedi or get whatever they needed. I was not in a rush at all and stayed off the BH terms until the word about the CU coming spread.
What was your favorite non-Jedi profession?
TKM/ Master Doc .... PvPing TKM/ DOC.  I was the only one I knew of who carried all the meds, cures, blankets etc to be an effective PvPer against the DOTs everyone had. I loved it.
How did unlocking make you feel?
Accomplished in the game, thrilled. I had opened a whole new game for myself.
What was your favorite trial?
Hated them all. Some were so bugged I had to start over several times.
Where was your trainer?
Right in front of Doaba Guerfel starport on Corellia

I dont remember my first, but my third was named Quenker Blender from all those damn quenker lairs.
What was the style, saber color & crystals in your best saber?
4 amazing roles on my saber with all premiums ... not one flawless sadly.
What did you wear?
White gloves and boots, everything else black and no cloaks or robes. Had a few +25 CAs Versus stats, some speed tapes etc.
How many BH's came after you?
A lot. Just before NGE hit I posted on the forums for both factions, all BHS, to openly hunt me because they all seemed to be having trouble collecting on me. Of course some made it their lifes mission.
How many BH did you kill? How many times did you die?
No idea how many I killed. I dont know hy but I never kept a running list of them like other did.
I was killed three times. Once when I was in the squill cave pre-cu. Two BHs tagged me when I was worth 100k.  The second time I was afk grinding faction. The third time I was afk and riding a swoop, had run into a house and a BH showed up with two jedi to kill me. They didnt need the muscle, I was afk anyway. I got the ritual "OWNED" tells and such... those were the days.
What did you make your Alt (or your main for the Pre-9's)?
A crafter/merchant
After the CU hit I made him a level 57 merchant/ artisan/ BH  ... I used to go to the Web Weaver Trail and wait for my marks health to get down low then one shot them. That was always fun. I got the ritual "DUEL NEWB... COMMON".... every time.... and loved it.

I never finished my template... not till after the CU. I was trying to stay off the terms and play the Jedi role.... that went out the window when the CU came my way.

#3 80% Block  (knocking the shots back at the shooter was always kewl)
What was your favorite memory fo being a Jedi?
It was everything. All of it. Not just Jedi, but the whole game. There was so much to do, to be, so much immersion in the game. It was a world to lose yourself in. It was home away from home.

16. Pre-pub 9 you couldn't train any skills but Jedi. Starting out was rough. The grind was horrible, but the slow, steady increase in power was awesome. The prof itself was great. I loved the specials. It was a solo prof and had a playstyle that was different from anything else in the game. Except for the horrible grind it played like a dream. It's hard to describe it. It was like a separate game within the game.

I started playing in June 04 and the holo-grind was no more



What was your favorite non-Jedi profession?

I started playing with the goal of becoming a BH as Bobba Fett is one of my favorite characters. I still think to this day his death at Sarlac was lame. He went down far to easy

TKM is the profession I rate no1 as it was so beautiful to watch you toon executing moves and was damn good at absorbing hits.

Non-combat was chef. I loved making food and drinks. The chef-board was always fun to read too. Nice vibe in there!



How did unlocking make you feel?

It was actually a combination of a guildie and a Jedi mark that sort of lured me into the path of jedi. I was glowy from the get go at village launch but had no desire to become Jedi.
I was a MBH and hunting Jedi was my trade. One mark I had a conversation with after she killed me asked why I didn't get the bonuses from force sensitive skills? I started to think about maybe getting some... and when I started the quests to get those extra skills I thought “What the hell, I'll go all the way!” as my guildmate begged me to join him in the Jedi grind.



What was your favorite trial?

Well the LS trial was good as you finally got to wield a saber



Where was your trainer?

The Pistoleer Trainer in Nashal on Talus  that happend to be my homeplanet as well!

Master LS, Defender 4044, Healer 4000, Enhancer 3002. It was a well rounded temp and I didn't PvP much.

I was thinking going the “Rouge” temp (Master Enhancer, LS 4004, Defender 0040, Healer 4000, Powers 0400  when I took over a guildies Jedi but never did...

It,s a shame but I don't remember

I had a DB saber with sunriders, 3 krayt pearls and one crystal all collected preCU. I didn't compare much but it was better than any CU Jedi could ever get. I remember the fc was a tad high

Main outfit was in shades of brown/dark brown:
Desert Command Jacket, Two-Tone formal Skirt, Wrapped Boots

I also had different stat-clothing but went more for “looking” right, the RP side of me



How many BH's came after you?

I think maybe 5-6 came for me total. I was more RP/PvE Jedi so I guess I was far down on the terminal list. Towards the end of the CU I did no longer care about vis but strangely no one ever hunted me?



How many BH did you kill? How many times did you die?

I got killed one time. Was my first encounter. It was early in the CU and the fight went on for over 1,5h! In the end he got me as I started getting careless. The few encounters I had after that I disabled them and took off, in true light Jedi manner.



What did you make your Alt (or your main for the Pre-9's)?

I made my alt Rifleman/Chef and then Rifleman/BE and before NGE turned Carbineer/MBH

I never gained any rank as it were non to get while I played a Jedi

Saber throw and force run

What was your favorite non-Jedi profession? Definately Pikeman. So beautiful. and tkm a close second because it was so useful with any profession. Then tailor/id because i loved being able to look unique.
How did unlocking make you feel? "ITS ABOUT DAMN TIME!!!"

What did you wear? oo i had a tailor alt and loved making clothes, i dont remember the exact names of the clothes, but i wore the soft shirt with ablack body and pink shoulders with fingerless gloves, striped pants and the sneakers, all in pink and black, and my special edition glasses and the big collard necklace with the gemstone that hung down.
How many BH's came after you? too many to count, i was always on the terms lol. I loved the thrill of seeing a blue dot out in the middle of nowhere.
How many BH did you kill? How many times did you die? The only bh's i could not kill were the ones wearing adk'd psg's or adk'ed power hammers with 1kplus damage. I just ran from them lol. But the rest i killed easily. All in all, i was killed less than 5 times by bh.
What did you make your Alt (or your main for the Pre-9's)? I made my Twilek  Ielar a master swords/doc for krayt/elder tanking.

I never did the frs, i always thought it was pretty lame because of all the fight clubbing going on and refused to do it until it was revamped. I regret that now for never trying it, had i known they'd never fix it, i would have done it, but it was my beliefe they'd address it in the cu....

What was your favorite memory fo being a Jedi? grinding. I know that people might think  im crazy for liking the jedi grind, but i had so much fun grouping with my buddies and yelling if a bh came and being to help them out before the devs screwed up the game and got rid of the tef (grr). It was great to all meet in the cantina to buff and duel and then go out into your seperate corners, discussing what ability to get next and where that blue dot was going.
My Message to my fellow Jedi; Hang on to your memories and feelings of being a jedi, because they are special and unique to the game and to all mmo's. Not many have the experience of working hard to get an alpha class. Even if the class did become too common and not so alpha, you'll always have your memeories and ss's of the first time you lit up a lightsaber or killed a bh, it will probably be the closest you'll come to feeling the wonder of being a real jedi lol and no one can take that away, no matter how many times they screw up the game and class.

Best feeling I have ever had in a game.
What was your favorite trial?
I'm assuming you mean Knight Trials here.  I didnt have a favourite, but I certainly had a least favourite - those damn Peko-Peko Albatroses.  It took me and several guildies days to find those bloody things, lol.
 Where was your trainer?
One of the cities on Corellia (not Coronet), cant really remember as I only used him a couple of times.  My Guild Leader had unlocked about a month before me and was the same template so I never had to visit my trainer much.
What was your favorite Template & why?
Well my 2 Jedi had different templates: 
First Jedi - Master Lightsaber/Master Powers/Heal 4004
Second - Master Lightsaber/Master Defender/Enhancer 3000/Heal 2000
My favourite was the first template, the good old 'Glass Cannon'.  If you knew how to play that template well it was by no means the 'joke' that ignorant people thought it was.  In fact it was really deadly.

First Jedi had a Double-Bladed saber (pre-cu perfect) with a Banes Heart eventually (originally just red) and the second Jedi had a crappy (CU-era no flawless) 1 handed saber (the curved hilt out of the Clone Wars) also with a Banes Heart. 
What did you wear?
Depends on when.  The first Jedi used to wear his DJE Robe or some nice BE clothes with nice mods and CA's.  By the time of the CU both my Jedi were wearing BE clothes with the specific Jedi CA's in them.  Both were GMA/GMS/LSS(double or 1h)/LSA(double or 1h) +25 with a lot of other bonus mods thrown in.  The 'uniform' was Black Sunguard, Black Shirt, Black/Red Decorative Vest, Black Bandoleer, Black Decorative Belt, Black Gloves, Black Crafters Pants and Black Hide Boots (all 4-socket ofc)
How many BH's came after you?
Lol, loads.  I didnt keep count.

Only died 3 times and I never ran from a fight.  Didnt have the template for sprinting off like a big pansy

Force Choke in the old Powers Tree, lol it was great to have that DOT going while Saber Throwing and Dervish 2-ing like a madman.  That DOT was the end of many a BH or Light Jedi.  Lightning a close second because, well its bloody force lightning ffs, lol. 
What was your favorite memory fo being a Jedi?
The constant feeling of being hyped-up and on-edge while grinding my first Jedi in solitude on Dant/Dath/Endor and keeping a constant eye out for anyone on my radar.  Also the first time I powered-up my first saber - great

First elation, then dissapointment. I was one of those limbo jedi who unlocked and couldn't start jedi because between 8 and 9 (or was it 9 and 10?) you couldn't train as a new unlockee. While this isn't an attempt to flame any Jedi, I just wanted to day that I had NO interest in creating a Jedi EVER, and only did so on a betatest of RotW so I could get hilarious screenshots of my character throwing down some force lightning as a prank. Did pick up a friend's Jedi account for the extra lots and sold him for a pretty penny.
