Ivd downloaded the client....

in Ryzom
Ok, Im completely useless, but still  I need some help.  Ive downloaded the client for the 7 day trial but when I go to install it just says I need to run setup, but there is no setup file.   Anyway, yes I know im computer illiterate, but please help a sister out.    /kisses

    Huh? Strange... Look here for a bit of technical advice :)
    They´ve stickied the most comon problems in this Froum, so I think there might just be what you need somewehre .

    Sorry I´m not that technical myself.

    You downloaded ryzom-installer_022006.exe, right? when you run that, it will extract to a directiory, default is the same one you put that file in. After extracting, you get 2 .cab files, one .ico file, 1 .inf file, 1 .msi file and (tadaa!) "setup.exe" :) Run that, and the Installer starts... plain easy :)

    You downloaded ryzom-installer_022006.exe, right? when you run that, it will extract to a directiory, default is the same one you put that file in.     God, I feel like such an idiot.  But yes, I did all that (twice just in case), and still cant find the setup file after I install the client.   im at a loss...../confused

    Try downloading the installer through the torrent download option

    Ahh Claos! You have already installed the client? Then just start it, the program will take care of the rest. There should be some Ryzom buttons in your start menu.

    Claos you ran the msi file right. From what I remember and msi file is a exe file with a different extension

    Well, technically the .msi-File isnt an .exe in disguise, but Windows knows what to do with it, so doubleclicking it will work as well :) And now i keep my Zorai mouth shut before Red complains again lol
