LucasArts Let SWG Die

SWG Needs to be taken out back and shot, just like old yeller, ever since the first combat upgrade it has been going down the hole, my personal suggestion would be to pick up a new Starwars MMO in a seperate timeline that supports more of what people are looking for from a Starwars game, either from the time of KotOR, the time of Episode I through III, or further into the expanded universe beyond the time of the Empire and into the time of the Galactic Alliance... these are all times where the number of jedi was higher and would give players more use out of the extensive amount of Jedi that everyone wants in the game... but worse than that is the tactics they've picked up since NGE, now I was an avid player of SWG from it's first week of live play up until about 3 months into the NGE before I finally gave up, about the only thing that would bring me back is the actual institution of player capital ships, but either way you look at it... SWG is a dying dream... saddly enough it's one that started out in a strong fashion and slowly declined as Sony or Lucas whomever made the final decisions decided to push the game into the state of affairs it's in now, this was a game that was once easily better than WoW until they tried to take the exact fashion of WoW... I believe they would do best to let another company produce the game... personal feelings would be to allow Origin, Bioware, Bethesda, Blizzard, or NCSoft to get ahold of the franchise and develop a game that is truly worth playing again... "Star Wars: Old Republic Online" or "Star Wars: Galactic Alliance" or even "Star Wars: Unleashed" something that is exciting and initicing enough to bring in people who found themselves so incredibly disappointed with SWG... any other opinions would be greatly appreciated

I dunno, there's still plenty of people having fun, seems like kind of a waste to just "shut it down."

SWG will forever serve as a monument to what not to do when developing, patching and upgrading a MMORP. May it stand for a long time so others may heed the warning.
