I haven't seen much discussion on this site about Space Cowboy Online. This game was just released for the global regions just last week. It's a MMO 3D space shooter game that's similar to Star Fox 64 + ONLINE!! There's also a ton of PvP and a concept called Nation Wars which is a faction system where 2 nations go head to head in battle.
I've been playing this for ever and although there's some lag, the controls are really nice for a PC 3D space shooter.

So far this is the best free MMO game i've seen and i've played just about all of them.
